We will be staying at the Polynesian for 10 nights this Nov. First, I reserved a GV room. Then I talked DH into GV concierge since it is our 20th anniversary and we have APs from our last trip. Now, after reading all your wonderful posts I am getting greedy. Lagoon view sounds so nice but it will be an extra $535.00 for the week to upgrade. I can't ask DH, he will flip - thinks we are paying too much to begin with but the look on my kids faces to see the castle from our room is priceless. Is LV concierge really worth the extra cost for someone who needs to watch their budget or should we go for this once in a lifetime trip? I would love to split our trip between AKL and the Polynesian but DH does not want to waste a day packing up three kids and moving. Oh, by the way, I will have $350.00 in Disney rewards to put toward our hotel bill thanks to Disney Visa.

I would stay with the garden view you already have the concerige and I hear thats soo amazing there
the pool is so great and have you tried Ohanas? its amazing as well sounds like you have a great trip planned already good luck !
:bounce: Plus your on the monorail

I would also stay with the garden view (I think I'd definitely go for trying concierge though!). The castle view at the Polynesian is pretty distant and if you're in concierge you can go to the concierge lounge where you will have a view of the castle and the fireworks and everything.

We've never booked anything but garden view...and the views really are very nice. Being that you probably won't spend a whole lot of time in your room (after all, its WDW) the view isn't all that important. And I don't consider the lagoon view at the Polynesian (which you can get from outside any building) as great of a view as say....an oceanfront room at the beach or something like that. Its nice, but not "all that".

Just a thought:

Why not check out the cost of LV (non-concierge)? If it's comparable to GV concierge you can then decide if concierge is more important to you than LV.

Good luck.
