So currently I have a 9:15pm flight out of LAX on a Wednesday. There is an 8am flight for the same airline I could switch to that leaves on Thursday morning out of LAX. I'm having some doubts about having enough time and if I switch we'll get an additional night. But it'll be during the off season so the parks will probably close are 8pm so I'm not sure I'm going to gain all that much by switching. Would Uber be able to pick us up at 5am? Or would I have to get a private car since the options are more limited that early in the morning. Or should I stay with my current flight?

9:15pm, need to be at LAX 7:15, leave DLR when? 5:15pm? because you're smack-dab in rush hour traffic. Even an 8pm closure will give you 3 more park hours. I'd go morning because: more park time, hate LA traffic, I would think you could get an Uber but hopefully someone with early morning Uber/Lyft experience can chime in here.

Here in Nashville I drive for Lyft in my free time. There are drivers out at all times of day. I would bet there would be drivers out around 5am as people are about to start their work days.

In LA/orange county there are Uber drivers at all times. Just keep an eye on the app to see what the wait time is averaging.

We have taken an Uber from a Disneyland area hotel at 4:45 am. We pre-scheduled it the evening before (if I recall correctly, we had to set a 15 minute window, but that was no biggie at all). Driver was right on time.

I would definitely opt for a flight out the next morning versus cutting my park time short in the evening, if it is possible to make the change.

I had an 8:15AM out of LAX last month on a Monday. I decided to Uber to a hotel near LAX on Sunday evening. Partly because DW gets extremely tense when traveling to an airport and that allowed her to relax knowing we were close to the airport that morning. FWIW we stayed at the Sheraton Gateway https://www.starwoodhotels.com/sher...x.html?propertyID=344&SWAQ=13Y&language=en_US

Only downside is needing to pack up that morning before going to Disney and no place for an afternoon break. We were at the D23 Expo that day and did not need a break. In Feb you will not likely need a break either at the parks.

I like hydro's idea to go to la that evening. Because I wouldn't want to be so tired the next day. That is also my reason for taking the morning flight. I don't do red eye. I waste the entire next day trying to fix my schedule.

I would also switch to an LAX area hotel with a free shuttle for the last night of you take the 8am flight.

Thanks everyone! I made the switch to the 8am flight. I think I'll keep the hotel at Disney though for the last night, we'll be tired either way the next morning and this way we can spend the night around the Disney area and actually relax at the hotel a little. That's good to know Uber won't be a problem that early. I had no idea you could schedule to have a pickup at a certain time that seems really handy for this situation.

Stay with the hotel at Disney for the last night plan. Relax the last night and enjoy yourself. Getting up the next morning and having a scheduled pickup time with Uber or Lyft is great. We have done it a few times from the Grand. We have scheduled Lyft for pickup at the Grand at 03:45am a couple times. Delta has a 06:20 flight from LA to Dallas that works great for us. The Lyft drivers have always been on time, very nice, great/safe drivers with nice cars. It works for us!:cool1:
