About 5 trip wdw with family... (teens). but is it worth it to go Friday dec 23 or part day of dec 24, only days we could attend? Is there a deal for Canadian with a poor exchange rate... can we get a deal for a 1 day? Would you park hop, we are off site. Which park would you choose? We spend a day already at universal between the two parks. What else would you recommend, as dec 24, we can't spend a full day at a park. Seaworld? These teens haven't been.

...is this for this year or next year? If it's this year, I probably wouldn't buy 1 day passes at the gate on some of the busiest days of the year with no FP+ or plans in place. With teens, the odds are likely that they enjoy thrill rides. If so, I would ditch plans of a day at WDW and just do a second day at Universal. Do one full day at Universal Studios and one full day at Islands of Adventure. Trying to split both parks in one day during a busy time of year will have you guys missing out on a lot.

This year, as in the morning :) we don't need a 2day at universal, we got everything in with the 2 parks in 1 day, and more, by doing the single rider.

If you guys decide to do a park at WDW, it's really dependent on what kind of things you like to do. If you want to do more Christmas related things, Epcot has a lot to offer with the Storytellers and Candlelight Processional. MK will be insanely packed but you get the most attractions there and it's the most classic Disney feel. I've been working there all week and the crowds have steadily increased to the point I'm not sure how much people are getting done outside FP+ times. Seaworld is fun, and usually isn't too bad crowd wise. I just went the other day with my roommates here, actually, and had a good time. They have a deal online for $99 for a one day ticket that comes with a free all you can eat all day pass.

Well, you're living dangerously that's for sure. The only way to get a deal as a Canadian is you'll have to buy at least a 4-day pass. Then you can save 25%.

So... your best bet is to go to Animal Kingdom today (get there ASAP) and then park hop over to HS later today/tonight. Then tomorrow morning make sure you're at MK for rope drop.

If you go to AK today, head immediately for the most popular rides: Mt. Everest, Kali, safari. Try and make FP+ for HS tonight, there may be some availability for later. Also try to get some FP+ made for MK tomorrow, but the good thing is, if you're at MK for rope drop tomorrow, you'll still be able to get quite a bit done in the first hour or two, before the insane crowds build. Make sure you are at the gates a good 45 minutes before opening tomorrow morning at MK.

No deals, in fact tickets are more expensive since it peak price season. I would take them to Seaworld since they've never been.

Thank you! Sea world sounds like a better plan!

Normally, I would agree with you except for this little caveat:

we are off site

MK has early EMH on Dec 24, so by the time 8:00 regular opening comes around, it will already be getting crowded.

OP, I think your decision of Sea World is the better choice.

We were off-site guests, attended on an EMH morning, on a crowd level 9 day (week of July 4th), and had a great time. I'd take WDW hands-down any day, over Sea World, but that's me.

I think july 4th (or 3rd as they do it 2 days) is a little different from dec 24/25. The masses who wanted to see the fireworks don't come in until closer to the fireworks time but on dec 24, it's basically a regular day with xmas parade and xmas fireworks instead of the normal.

i went in july 3rd about lunchtime and had a wonderful afternoon but near 4-5 the masses started to fill the place and that changed.

It was July 1, so no special fireworks etc... it was bottleneck by noon by IASW and Tomorrowland etc... I'm sure it's not as busy then as at Christmas, but I would still pick MK over SW, but again, that's me. Or could always do EP instead of MK, probably just as busy, but so much bigger that the crowds disperse better.

I would be guessing if I threw out a comparison because I haven't been in the parks at all. Today is the first day where mvmcp is over and the park is in xmas mode so I would assume it's larger with tomorrow just getting even larger as people who aren't off school until tonight fly in to be here for xmas..

I'm actually going into the parks tomorrow just to get some 360 time lapses around the park of what it's like in the parks this time of year so I'll report back on what I see. I'm not hitting rope drop though.

That would be awesome!
