Hi, we've never been to WDW and so I'm not sure of the transport logistics and was hoping someone might be able to help please??

We are staying off site but we have a car. I have a breakfast ADR at Chef Mickeys, then we plan to go to Epcot, then we have a dinner ADR at BOG. Should we drive to Epcot and park in the morning, get monorail to a contemporary, then monorail to Epcot, then monorail to MK and then monorail back to Epcot car park? Or is there a simpler way I'm not thinking of?

Thanks for any help x

Although this is not much if any simpler you could also:

pay for Valet parking at the Contemporary then you can leave the car there for the day. Have breakfast and then take the monorail to the TTC and transfer to the the EPCOT monorail and then do the reverse to come back to the MK (after switching to the MK monorail from EPCOT). You can then walk back to the Contemporary.

Someone please correct me if I made a mistake.

DW and I always stay off-site as well. This is what we do.

I would definitely not park at Epcot. I would park at the TTC and then hop on the resort monorail to Contemporary. Once done there, take the monorail from MK to Epcot and vice-versa. At the end of the day, you will be closer to your car and not have to worry about getting back to Epcot to retrieve it.

I agree with the PP about TTC being a good place to park for going between MK and Epcot or even MK Resorts and Epcot. When I have done day trips where I am going between MK and Epcot, I usually just park at TTC so I do not have to move the car around.

Take the resort monorail from TTC, it will stop at the Poly, GF, and MK before it stops at the Contemporary. This should still be about the same amount of time as if you took the express from TTC to MK and then walked back to the Contemporary. Then when you leave Contemporary, you will take the monorail and the next stop will be the TTC. From there, switch to the Express monorail to Epcot. To return, you would only have to take the express monorail back from Epcot to the TTC.

If your reservation at Chef Mickey is extremely early, you might want to drive to Contemporary and self park and then drive to Epcot.

Valet parking at Contemporary and then taking the monorail is an option, but it means extra transportation at the end of the night. So you have to decide if you want to deal with extra travel time at the end of the evening or at the start. I tend to do better with the travel time in the morning than the evening.

Thanks so much for your help. Our CM ADR is at 8.15am so not mega early. I think I'll go with the parking at TTC, monorail to Contemporary, monorail to Epcot, and then monorail to MK. After all the kids are 2yrs and 4yrs and will probably love all the monorail trips! Ha ha!

If we did valet parking at Contemporary, what does this cost and does it mean we can leave the car all day? Thanks so much xx

It's $16 or $17, plus tip. Yes you can leave it there all day. And since you can walk to the Contemporary from MK, it's going to be a lot more convenient at the end of the night than parking at the TTC would be.

I totally missed the part about the BOG that evening. In this case, valet at Contemporary would likely work best, especially if you plan to stay until fireworks.

Also, you can also take the ferry from TTC to MK if you want to try something on the way back from Epcot to MK. I love to take the ferry at least once a trip.
