will be arriving at around 10:00am. Have ressies at goofy's kitchen at 5:30 and would like to squeeze in a few hours at dca before dinner. What would you do? Park at dca and then drive to goofy's kitchen? Park at dca and walk to goofy's kitchen? Park at goofy's kitchen and walk to dca? Any advise would be appreciated
:)

Where are you staying? Have you considered just using the hotel shuttle? GK and DCA are about a 5 -10 minute walk from each other.

Just to let you know, you get 5 hours complimentry parking at DLH with validation at DLH resturaunts.

<font color=navy>There is a big parking structure that services the two parks and Downtown Disney. A couple of weeks ago, I walked from the parking structure to the DL Hotel, and it was only about a 5 minute walk.

If you are planning on spending more than 5 hours at the DL Resort, then I recommend parking in the structure, taking the tram to DCA, then walking to the DL Hotel to go to Goofy's Kitchen. After enjoying your dinner there, you can stroll through Downtown Disney & window shop, or just enjoy the atmosphere, and take the tram back to the parking structure and your car.

My friends & I went to Downtown Disney, and they parked in the DT Disney parking lot (3 hours free/5 hours free w/validation). After the free parking, you're charged $6/hr, which is chargeable every 20 minutes ($2/20 min). They ended up spending $12 for parking.

Parking at the structure is $8 for all day. If you have an AP w/a parking pass, then parking would be free.

Regardless, I think you'd be better served parking in the parking structure and spending more time at the resort if you so wish.

Have fun! :)

That is the one that is free with my Disneyland tickets from AAA.
But I would like to know where it is located and how far is it to the parks from it??

It's located in the northwest corner of the DLR and is about 1/4 to a 1/2 mile to the front gates by tram. Be prepared for a long walk to the trams, though. I personally think that the parking garage is a bad design. We don't the trams come up to the levels to pick-up guests? Sometimes, the walk from your parking space to the tram is 1/2 mile! I liked the old parking lot better. It made more money than DCA, too!

I am staying at staybridge suites which is on manchester, that adds another variable then, would you take the hotel shuttle?

If my hotel has a reliable decent shuttle, I would use that.

As long as the weather is nice, I would walk also. That way you are not having to worry about going back to your car and can take the shuttle back to your room. Walk is not bad.
