Hi. I have read many of your posts trying to research our upcoming trip. I camper at the Fort once before in 2009 without my husband and LOVED it :lovestruc I have finally convinced him and the kids to go along with my need to return! We will be tent camping 3/29 - 3/31. We have a preferred site, I requested 100 loop because that's what I had last time and it worked out great for us. We are a family of 8 (Mom, Dad, Son age 12, Daughters aged 11, 9, 5, 2, and 1)

We're arriving early on the 29th, with the knowledge that our site probably won't be ready. I figured we could go over to the Tri-Circle D and maybe let the little ones take a pony ride. Then hopefully set up camp and head over to the Meadow swimming pool. Dad and son have wakeboarding scheduled for 3:30 at the Contemporary. Any ideads as to what should we girls should do while they are gone? We aren't going to the parks, wanted to stay and enjoy the campground if possible or maybe Downtown Disney?

Everyone wanted to go back to Whispering Canyon for Dinner, our ADR is for 7:30 (only one we could get) so we'll probably miss the campfire sing along but it looks like we might make it back to see Tangled (or most of it) after dinner. Thought we'd finish up with some s'mores cooked over our charcoal grill before bed. Since this is our only true "Ft. Wilderness day" am I missing anything important? What would you do for the day? We've done the Hoop de Doo and the campfire before while staying elsewhere. I would greatly appreciate the advice of all you Fort veterans :goodvibes

You could check the fireworks schedule for the M/K if there doing them when you are there you could go down to the beach and catch them and the Electric Water Padget

You can check the daily activity list you'll get when you check in. There are activities scheduled throughout the day that may interest the kids, alot of which are free. You could also take the boat to the MK, hop a bus to Port Orleans then get a boat there to Downtown Disney. We've done that, it's a nice ride.

You could enjoy the Fort activities as mentioned. DTD is always good,,,shopping,,,. Take the boat to the Contemporary with the guys, check it out, hop on the monorail and check out the Poly and GF.
