so I have a bit of a predicament and I am not certain what to do...

We may need to extend our stay by one day each at the beginning and the end of our next vacation.... I want to try and just get one more night at BLT at the end of the trip if humanly possible but the first night, should I also try for BWV or would you just pay cash for one night at a value.... I am torn as to what to do. Who knew adding a couple days to a vacation could be so stressful! :scared1::scared1: if the two days were at the end or beginning it would be so much easier. lol

It would depend on how many points I had. If points were no object, I would just book the extra nights at the resort I was already staying at. If points are an issue, then I would just pay cash for one of the two nights, so that I wouldn't have to switch resorts twice.

I would prefer to switch only once. IE 1st night go for pop and last night use points (if possible for same resort I was staying at, or if need by rent or pay cash for same resort. That way I was only changing 1 time.

Good luck.. FYI if renting is an option, you have a good shot at the same room, and there are tonz of rental points on Rental board.

Do you not have enough points? Then I guess you have to pay cash.

Do you want to try BWV? Then I would give it a try; changing rooms really isn't that big a deal. Changing only once would be easier.

Do you not want to pay too much cash? Then yes, get the value.

Not really sure what is stressing you. Since this is a vacation, go with what will be the most fun!

It would on the timing of your trip, availability, and how many points you have available. If I had enough points available and it was within the 8-11 month window, I would try to modify my current reservation to add a day at both the beginning and the end of my trip. Hopefully, both days would be available. I prefer not to have to change rooms if at all possible. If you don't have many points or don't mind changing rooms, you may want to consider your other options.

If I were booking after the 7 month date, then I would check on availability and would probably still try to add both days onto existing reservation.
However, the system won't always let you add days to an existing reservation if the initial reservation was made within the 8-11 month booking window. It doesn't want to combine those points with the 7 month points. I lost the extra night I was trying to add on to our upcoming reservation because the system wouldn't allow points from 11 month window to be combined. By the time the CM tried to book the add on night as its own reservation, it was no longer available.. The same type of thing happened to my holiday reservation. I was trying to add a day at the beginning and drop a day at the end due to flight changes only a few weeks before the trip. The system wouldn't allow the revision until a supervisor fixed it.

Good luck with your decision.

DH has limited me to only one move per trip, and I do find that is more reasonable than jumping around. Although I personally would like to stay at all my favorites every trip, but we don't have enough points for that! I would go for paying cash for the first night at whichever resort you have set for the next night. Good luck!:goodvibes

Is it possible for you to purchase points up to your 25 point limit ...if you're out of points?

I'd definitely try to stay at the same resort and not have to switch....especially not switch twice.

Did you know you can buy up to 24 points from disney for $15 a point? That might give you enough for the extra night and book somewhere else before the trip. Good luck
