If you could pick a day to go to the park- would it be the day before Halloween, or the day after? Also pretend that you will be going to the MHP on Halloween- but only for the party- not a full day at the park. So which would you choose? I am trying to pick one and its so hard. I assume the day after will be lighter crowds, but I also know that the Galaxy Ghost SM ride will be down. I really want to ride it altleast once, and without FP's I am afraid that trying to do it at the party might not happen, I predict it might be very crowded. However I am also trying to convince myself that everyone who wanted to go to the party, would have gone earlier in the month to avoid all the chaos... LOL. But then I think that maybe Sat will be super crowded too. And also I will not have a MM on the Saturday. .... so what would you do? It will also be cheaper to go on a Monday.... my plans would be to arrive at the hotel at around noon on Sunday then check out on Mon. But if we went to the park on Sat... we would have to go to the hotel on Friday, that way we wouldnt be so tired on Sat. Thanks!

That quite the quandry. I would have to go with Monday if Friday and Saturday are too expensive then they are too expensive.

You can get Ghost Galaxy in during the MHP but it will be a long wait. If you are encouraged to get up early and show up before the party you can even get it in during the day too.

Mostly I'd keep in mind that parks will have longer hours on Friday and Saturday than Monday if you need to get other than SM and HM rides in.

thanks Skiingfast... btw- I loved reading yours and Funballs TR- cant wait for date 2!!

Yeah I believe that the park is only open on monday from 10-8 with no fireworks vs. Sat from 8-Mid with Fireworks... oh the decisions LOL. I shouldnt even be going on the trip at all... and I have went to DL in March, April, and two trips in July. You would think that would be enough, but it never is! :lmao:

If I went with the arrive on Friday plan- we would spend most of the day in DTD and eat dinner at Fire and Ice at the Gardenwalk... do alot of shopping and maybe catch a movie. Then go to the parks on Sat... and then the MHP on Sunday and then go home monday. If we choose this plan- we would have to stay at prolly Super 8 on Disneyland Drive as it is only $48 a night.

I checked rates at the Anaheim Plaza but for Fri and Sat- they wanted $72 or maybe it was $79 and on Sunday it was $59. Plus they say their pool and hot tub is closed for renovations which sucks. But I did like their balcony and patios and the nice landscaped grounds.

But if we went with the arrive on Sun plan... we would prolly stay at the Tropicana which is across the street, which is so nice- and thats at $109 a night. So arrive at noon, go eat... check in hotel, go to the MHP at 4. Then do the park on Mon from 10-8.

Its just got my tummy all in a knot because I cant make my mind up! I really wanted the Tropicana, but cant afford it for 3 nights. And I also wanted to go to the park on Sat because it will feel more like a vacation type of trip. See how nuts I am? I think about this all day long! LOL

Glad you are liking the TR, If I remember I'll mention about the pool area closing. It did while I was there.

How about the quality inn? Did it have cheap rates? Maybe it isn't closer? Do you need to be across the street? Are you going back during the day, if so I could see wanting to be close.

Anyway, if you want to see F! then you'll need that Saturday, but i don't know that you will want to see RDCT and the MHP Fireworks. I would just want the best of the two.

I dont need to be across the street- I just wanted to because it makes it so much easier and saves time etc. Plus the Tropicana is newly renovated and has a balcony that I was dying to try out. hehe. I guess I am spoiled. I also do not need to see F! or WOC- done that earlier in the year and both are amazing and wonderful. I do love me some Fireworks though- i have seen them all except the Halloween fireworks.... I love all of them... but was dissapointed with the July 4th ones- too short. I suppose I will just do the Sunday Monday plan.... I should prolly do a TR when I get back! I think i have changed my hotel choices about 10 times in the past month. My first budget was $2500 and we were going to the GCH. Now my budget is $600 so you can see why I am looking for cheap place LOL. So when is the next date night?
