What would you do??

We originally had Rose and Crown scheduled for dinner at 7:00 so we could watch Illuminations from the patio after dinner on our Epcot day. I wasn't that excited to eat there, but we have never really seen Illuminations so we thought it a good reason to eat there. I am worried about the August heat though, so I am second guessing that reservation. I just booked a 130 reservation for San Angel Inn. We love mexican food, and the dark, cool atmosphere sounds really appealing for a mid day break. Which reservation should I keep? I have never been to either one. If I go with the mid day TS, what CS do you suggest to be near a great view for Illuminations?? Where is your favorite spot to watch??

Have you seen Illuminations from the patio at Rose and Crown? If we get an inside table, we could go out on the patio for the show?

I like both. Look at the menus and see which fit your family best. Out side at Rose and Crown in Aug can be muggy at best. Since every one else wants an out side table too there is no guarantee you will get one.
Mexico is wonderfully cool at any time. The food isn't to every one's taste. Rose and Crown gets a lot of criticism lately but we just eat fish and chips and love it.
I have watched Illuminations from the second story in Japan department store. I started watching their on a drizzling day and now we just head there. It is seldom crowded and while the view isn't perfect I enjoyed the height and view. We also like sitting down with a hot drink while we wait for it it begin.

Rose and Crown was one of best meals last time we went. We are skipping it this year to try new stuff but I bet you would like it.
