OK, here's the situation...
I was great friends with the guy who did my hair for about 6 years.
Something happened like a year and a half ago, and we sort of had a falling out. It was nothing dramatic. In fact I can't really pinpoint why it happened. We just sort of stopped hanging out, and we haven't spoken in months. It seems to have been mutual. He hasn't called me either in all of this time.
Now it's been over a year since I've been to him, and I'm in desperate need of a haircut/style!!
So my dilemma...Is there a way to just call him (professionally) and request an appointment without any of the friendship issues causing drama? I've already called the salon where he works, thinking I could just book it with them, but they said he books his own appointments so I'm going to have to speak with him personally.
I have no clue why this makes me so nervous!!
What would you do? Would you risk calling him and hashing up possible hard feelings?? Or would you just find a new stylist? I have curly hair, and have had some really horrible haircuts in my time, and this guy is the only person I've ever fully trusted with my hair...

And I feel like I'm cheating on her.
...just stopped going. One of them, my DH still goes to, and has been for about 15 to 20 years. The other one just got in a rut with my hair, and I just wasn't happy. My current one is AWESOME, and I think I'd go to counseling with her if we had some sort of falling out before I'd break up with her!
