What would you do?

We are considering these two ressies:

7:40AM Chef Mickeys
or
8:05AM Chef Mickeys

That day Magic Kingdom opens at 9AM.

We will be staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge.

We'd like to have breakfast at Chef Mickeys then be at MK either for Rope Drop and/or shortly thereafter. Thoughts? Strategies? Which ressie would you keep?

I would keep the earlier time. We have a 7:15AM at Chef Mickey's in a couple of weeks and my teenagers are having a cow, but they'll be up and ready to go that morning. I had a 7:40, but changed it because I figured what's 25 mintues when you have to get up anyway?

I would keep the 7:40. You should easily make rope drop at the MK.
If you are worried about transportation from the AKL, consider a taxi. It is quick, direct, hassle free and not too expensive.

time. When we have had ADRs during full service times, it has usually taken nearly 90 minutes for all of the characters to get around to the tables. This past trip we had one of the latest ADR times and it still took a full hour to see all of the characters. And my kids insist on seeing all of the characters.

To a taxi to the early one...They will be out front or very near by...Just go out front and the CM will get one for you...They are cheap and hastle free...Then jump on the monorail to be at the MK...You will be there for openning although you may miss rope drop.

You do not have to take a taxi...It is just quicker (only have to leave yourself about 20 minutes), easier and more pleasant first thing in the morning IMO

You CAN take a bus to the MK...Then take the monorail to the CR or even walk over...That works too...Just will need to leave yourself lots of extra time...Like 45 - 60minutes.

If you have a car or will take a taxi, the earlier one. If you're planning to take the bus, the later one.
