We will have one day in Orlando....I am debating on doing one park one day tickets...but wow...they are so expensive. I wonder if I should just go ahead and buy extra days with the no expiration dates and take the expense now.
Or just one day one park...anyone know if there is any way to get one day tickets cheaper?
or a deal that gives us a day park and night at hotel?

It really depends on a number of factors.
  • Will you be returning to WDW in the near future - like within the next couple of years?
It might be cost-efficient to buy a no-expiry multiday pass.
  • Will you be returning in less than a year?
An AP might be a better choice.
  • Do you have future plans to stay onsite and take advantage of some sort of package deal?
Packages require ticket purchases, so you really won't save much by buying passes in advance.
  • Do you have the funds available to pay for the no-expiry passes now?
The cost-savings would be negated by monthly fees on a credit card.

I have no-expiry passes that are put away from previous trips. Some of them pre-date the MYW passes but they have several "pluses" on them that I haven't used yet. We also have some no-expiry MYW passes both used and unused. And then there are 4 1-day passes from 2006 that I had to buy in order to get free dining. On my last trip, I took advantage of the 4/3 promotion so I had to purchase 4-day passes (with 3 additional days free) and those other tickets stayed in my drawer. I know that we'll eventually use those passes up but meanwhile Disney has had my money for several years.

Any chance you would want to do a WDW for free day? Tour the resorts, shop DTD, go to the campfire and movie? Or just hit the waterpark for a day?
