I know that the points for cashing out at Mypoints is going up the end of the month. I have enough to cash out for a $10 webbie. My dilema is that I want to be able to use my rewards to add to my fund for my upcoming "cheap" trip to Disney this October. I figured on using my webbie to purchase a Disney Store card and use it towards my passes at my local store. The only problem is that they start at $25 and I will only have $10 towards them. I figured to increase mypoints I would buy thru their link enough $ in cards to get 2 points per $ I spend. I'm looking at $550 in passes, so I thought that would help my points increase. My problem is that I cannot purchase the passes yet, I still have to get up the money.
So my question is whould you cash out now for the $10 webbie or wait until I can have enough to go to the next level with the pending increase in points for cashouts?
I'm new at this reward stuff, so this is my first time I've gotten enough to cash out and would really like some professional help!

I would just cash out for the $10 webbie and use it at the Disney Store to purchase Disney $$$ instead of a gift card. That's what I am doing with my cash-out from them. HTH!

How would you use it at the Disney Store? Isn't it just a printout from your computer?

no a webbie is not a print out they send you a number in the form of a link in your email that you click on that takes you to webcert.com and you get $10 added to your wecert acct. to take it to the DS in anyform you must get the WEBCERT card it is a Mastercard you can take that to the DS or to WDW and use it anyway you want but they do cost initially.When I got mine it was $5 but I think they have increased that amount.

If I get this webcert card, can I use it to get more added to it thru Milesource? What are the Supercertificates for?
I would hate to have to spend $5+ to get $10. I have no idea if I can get up enough points thru Mypoints again to add to it in time for my trip in October. Unfortunately Rainforest Cafe is out of the question, my DH does not care for it and we have one in a mall about 45 minutes from our house and I get him to go there at least twice a year.

When you get an account with webcertificate you are issued a normal credit card number. You can only charge with the funds you have to your account. You can add money to it anytime. You can add money from other reward programs to it. You just use the same email address and it will be credited to your account.

You can than take that credit card number and shop anywhere online, mail order, etc.

Like Maleficent2 said, there is a charge for the physical card so as long as you do your transactions online or mail order, phone you will have no problem.

I think you should be able to order the Disneystore Gift Cards right from their site and remember if you are a little short just add your own money to it.

I print out the sheet from the webcertificates page that has the account # exp date and balance... take the info to your DS to buy $DD..

most CM are pretty agreeable about doing this without having the physical card (see they run you # through the machine manually) some though might give you a hard time just try another time and a different CM

Ive done this about 3 or 4 times and never had a problem
doing it this way saves the charge of a plastic card
where theres a will theres a way!!!

Gina-I'm a Disney Store CM and there are a couple of things I want to bring to your attention.

You can get a Disney Gift card starting at just $5, but please be aware that whether you can use the gift card toward the purchase of your park passes varies from store to store, sometimes from manager to manager. The logic behind this is that gift cards are meant to be used only for Disney Store merchandise, and technically, park passes are WDW merchandise even though we sell them at the stores. Confusing-you bet! Some managers have no problem letting you use them for passes, but I have had one of the managers in my store refuse to allow it. If you want to go this route, call your local store, get the offical okey-dokey from a manager and get her/his name.

As far as using a webbie account number to purchase disney dollars (and disney dollars are good to use anywhere-stores or WDW), I know many people have had luck doing this at Disney Stores. You could also use your webbie account number over the phone to prepay a portion of your hotel bill. Both of these ideas would allow you to spend your webbies without having to purchase the plastic card.

As far as waiting for the next highest level before cashing out-I don't do it. I cash out at the lowest level I can, unless I have made a big purchase through the site and I'm waiting for the points to come through. Not all programs are as nice as mypoints and have upped the points needed for a cashout without giving us any warning.

LI Debbie, I did call and ask my local Disney store if I could use Disney Store gift cards to purchase park hoppers and they said yes. I will definately call and ask again before I actually do this and take down a name. I may also check to see if they will use my webbie to issue disney dollars. If I buy my hoppers with the gift cards I purchase thru mypoints from Disney Store online I'm looking at at least 1000 points. That almost is enough for another webbie!

Like I said I'm still alittle wet behind the ears on this reward stuff so your help is greatly appreciated.

Milesource issues you Supercertificates for GiftCertificate.com right? If so you could go to giftcertificate.com and see what you can redeem them for. You may be able to get planet hollywood or rainforest cafe.

One thing I just noticed about going through mypoints to purcase gift cards is watch out for the shipping. I just looked it up and if your order is over $200 shipping is $15.95 so it would not be worth it. They just had a free shipping promo just end so wait till they do it again.

I think I may do the same thing and order $600 worth of gift card for our passes and go through mypoints.

What stinks is that they ar eraising the points when you cash out as of May 31.

I'm not sure exactly about the supercertificates from Milesource. I just started that program this month and I still have awhile to go. Seeing how I have never gotten one I was wondering what it would be for. They do not give much information on their site.
The gift cards I want to buy are from the Disney Store which you can access thru Mypoints for 2 points per $. Usually Disney Store has free shipping over $75 order. I still have time to do this over the summer, my trip is in October.

Sorry I wasn't more clear in my original response, but the experts here have certainly helped out. I had forgotten that the WebCertificate plastic card was not free, I got it thru FreeRide when they had a much better earnings potential last year or the year before.

As far as Milesource and the SuperCertificates, you can cash those out for lots of different things. If you check out :

and look to the left side, they have a link to "View All Merchants". You can see from there what the different choices are as this is site where you'll redeem your SuperCertificate. I know that some people who don't intend to visit a Rainforest Cafe just get a gift card to something they will use in their hometown (i.e. Wal-Mart or Target) and either use the money to spend for things for their trip. Or they set aside the $25 or $50 they would have spent at that store and get Disney $$$.
