Sis and I are going to OKW for my birthday (I own, my birthday) in Feb.
She originally said she'd fly and told me the times (she lives in Atlanta) and with me in Seattle, I booked. Well, now she claims it's too expensive for HER to fly and wants to drive!! This sure leaves me in a lurch! My flight doesn't leave Orlando until 6:30pm ! Now, I can ride the Mousebus, but what the heck am I supposed to do until it's time to go to the airport? Anyone know if we can request late check outs at the Villas? Not a biggie she's decided to drive, but it's MY DIME on MY BIRTHDAY and dues are also due!!! All I wanted was a stress free trip for me! All the years we've owned, have always taken 'sis' as a treat (early December) or DH (Oct/ Food & Wine Festival). Help!

It's a perfect day to check out and leave your luggage with Bell Services and hit a park or two for those rides you hadn't quite made it to, or for a nice leisurely meal. We always fly out late and love to do this on our last day. And doing it alone may give you some time to decompress after the close family time. :rotfl:

No late check out, but leave everything with Bell Services and do what ever you want to do for the day. Go to a park, go to DTD for last minute shopping, hang out at the pool (keep change of clothes in a carry on). :goodvibes

We've just lounged at the pool and changed into street clothes in the rest room. It's a great way to decompress after a busy trip.

On occasion, have spent time alone at the parks too for a few hours, and it's really quite nice. Or maybe some spa time?

We quite often schedule a late flight home so we can enjoy a few more hours in WDW on our last day. We check out at 11am and leave our luggage with Bell Services and then either go to a park for lunch and a few rides or we hang out at the pool and use the locker room at the fitness center to shower and change before heading to the airport.

DME will pick you up 3 hours prior to your flight so your DME bus will probably depart OKW around 3:30. You will need to be at the bus stop 20 minutes in advance. Allow extra time if you need to retrieve luggage from Bell Services (another 10-20 minutes) so that puts you back at OKW by 3pm at the latest. So in reality, you will have only 4 hours after check out for whatever you want to do on your last day. How about taking the boat over to DTD for a nice lunch and some last minute shopping?

I always take a late flight home. That day is usually my laying in the sun day, then I shower change have a good lunch and then head for Magical Express, one time it rained on the day I was leaving and I went to downtown disney for a few hours. If you are flying a participating airline you can even check your luggage and only have to deal with your carry on .

If you are flying SWA check your luggage with a Bell Person. Flying an other airline, check your luggage at the RAC desk. Take the boat to DTD and have lunch and check out the stores. Be back at OKW before 3:30 PM to catch DME.

Have a wonderful vacation.
