What would you do..............?

What would everyone do if Disney World was shutdown and never allowed to open up again? What would u do if a hurricane was heading for Disney and it is exactly as strong as Hurricane Katrina? These questions that just popped into my head lately. Idk what i would do i think id flip out and run into a pole. So this is a question for all what would you do?

well, if wdw shut down, we'd probably sell our stock because that market is about to crash.
and a hurricane, I'd hope that people got out of the way.

Oh my. I'd be crying for days on end... I'd probably go mad.

i would also cry because then i wouldn't be able to go there with my husband or our kids. no family reunions at WDW or anything. luckily walt disney land and all the other disney site around the world would be ok tho. the language barrier might serve up a problem possibly.

I'd cry every day!!! disney world is my refuge, and if it shut down, I would probably go insane!!!! (i might be exaggerating a little, but it's close!)

WDW wouldn't get decimated by a hurricane. Katrina wasn't really THAT strong actually. It hit land a strong 3. It was New Orlean's terrible levy system that failed.

Plus WDW is about as far inland as you can get in FL. By the time the eye gets there, unless the storm was like a strong 5 or something, and didn't curve at all, then maybe there would be serious damage to WDW.

Also, WDW is build like a brick. It would take one heck of a storm to tear it down.



BUT...if worst came to worst, I wouldn't be devistated.

To add to this Every ride at Disney was designed so that it is impervious to all the weather extremes known to Florida.

yeah, they have hurricane parties at the hotels. A hurricane wouldn't be much of a problem but I'd hope that the people in the surrounding area were okay.

Not too much I really could do about it though. and there's still parks all over the world.

i agree. disney is built against hurricanes. and yeah, it's pretty far inland. i mean, miami is like six hours away.
florida has been through tons of hurricanes, they would survive. nothing uncommon.
New Orleans just wasn't ready for it, we all knew they wouldn't.
