what would you do?

Every summer I have worked for a theatre camp and this is the first summer I havent because the director and I had a fight in April and we havent really spoken since ( I was accused of trying to break up his friendship with his best friend, but in reality his "friend" was looking for a way out and said I said something I didnt. Now this director and I have been close friends for 10 years and he told me he never wants to speak to me again and that I wasnt welcome at the camp show. Hubby thinks I should just forget the show but I could never do that to these kids.. they expect me there. . Do I risk upsetting the director and causing a scene and go anyway?

I also work alot with theatre people. They can be soooo dramatic sometimes. I don't know how your camp works but, if the director is the person who is in charge of securing staff then be careful. Maybe you could showup at lunch to touch base with the kids. If the director is not in charge of staffing, talk to the staff person. Good luck

He is head of everything but I know everyone( mainly parents) including his mother who is in charge of tickets. She wouldnt think of not letting me in and knows of the situation and that it isnt my fault. I am more concerned with him causing a scene in front of the kids and upsetting them. But I know they would be really hurt if I wasnt there..

He is one of the most dramatic people I know! He is gay and very sensitive and he feels that every little thing is a personal attack on him. Even though he really hurt me, I love him to death!
