What would you do?

Ok, I am going to DL in early May with my soon to be 3 yr. old daughter and my grandparents. My grandparents have never been and the trip is a celebration of DDs birthday and my grannys. For the same price, we can either all share a room at the Paradise Pier OR get separate rooms at a really close hotel that I like to stay at. What would YOU do? I think it might be hard for them to walk to and from the PP (68 & 70) every day (we would park at DL if we stayed off-site) and I would have to wear a bra all day (and night too!). So, any and all advice greatly appreciated!

I would probably opt for seperate rooms. PP is nice, but I dont know that I would want to room with others.

What does wearing a bra have to do with anything?

LOL-I am the kind of person who as soon as I enter my house (or hotel), off goes the bra. I wouldn't be comfortable doing that with my GRANDPA in the room! LOL

I would choose the separate rooms. This would give you the flexibility, and privacy that they probably also would like.

When I went to WDW w/my dad & his wife, we had separate/connecting rooms, and it was so nice. The kids were able to watch tv, & I was able to get up early w/o having to worry about waking anyone else up.

I shared a room one time w/some gals who were late risers, and I was laying in bed at 6am, room completely dark with nowhere to go because I didn't have my car, until I couldn't stand it any longer. I finally went into the bathroom, & turned on the light, & read my book in there. Now if I share, I try for connecting rooms or a suite.

Anyways, there are plenty of places nearby where the grandparents - or you - could easily walk back to when wanted.

I would do seperate rooms. I find that everyone is more relaxed, gets more rest and there are less issue that pop up (time getting up or going to bed, bathroom, etc)

Separate rooms at the closer hotel gets my vote. Not only will you get some privacy, it'll be a shorter walk for the grandparents and for afternoon naps (I highly recommend with toddlers).

I agree with the other posters. I would do seperate rooms at a closer hotel with connecting doors if possible. We traveled with my family on our last trip. We had lots of fun, don't get me wrong but it sure was nice to have a place all to yourself at the end of the end of the day. If your grandparents turn in early and you and your daughter stay out later, it might be uncomfortable coming back to a room with sleeping people.

I´d definately go with 2 rooms. Personally, I can´t stand the thought of sharing with someone who might be on a different "schedule" than me. Holidays should be relaxin and I would fear ending up veru up-tight in such a close living arrangement.

Another vote for separate rooms. Conecting rooms would be the best if you can get them. Ive traveled with my nana and I love her dearly, but......she is on a totally different schedule and it stinks. She is early to bed early to rise. I think it has to do with her age. But a 330am wake up is not what im looking forward to and having to be in bed by 7pm so not to wake her is just as bad. It also is good to give the privacy. I can relate with the bra deal. Just wouldn't feel as free to whip it off at the end of the day. Might also be good for your DD to not be in the same room. Especially if she wants to watch tv at a time your grandparents need rest. And she can feel ok about being a kid.
