What would you do? Thanksgiving 2019

Hoping to visit Disneyland next year with our family, and maybe extended family. What with Galaxy's Edge opening over the summer, normal Thanksgiving crowds, etc. Which would be better: week before Thanksgiving, week of Thanksgiving or the week after? I notice it looks like Candelight Processional will be the weekend after. How much would that effect the Monday-Thursday before?

This would most likely be an early Christmas gift for our family but we would like to make the trip before my youngest turns three, December 8th.

I'd choose the week before or the week after Thanksgiving Holiday.
I'd watch the hours this year for each of those weeks. Also check the historical hours for past years hours.
I'd choose the week where the parks had the longest hours.

Keep in mind many people are saying Mondays can be super crowded these days. Not sure if that will hold true November 2019 though.

choose the weeks with the longest hours......there is no normal 2019 Thanksgiving.

the problem you will encounter is that reports will be broadcast on the internet that 2018 Thanksgiving/your listed weeks were FANTASTIC!!!! But folks don't have a grasp of the dating of Thanksgiving. in 2019 it will be the latest date it can be for the holiday, compare the 2018 calendar and the 2019 calendar. that week is missing in 2019.

You will encounter the folks who: don't celebrate Christmas till after Thanksgiving, are at Disneyland every year on your final choice of week , love Disneyland Christmas, heard that holidays are great at Disneyland and new to the mix, 2019 we just love SWGE!!!!!!!!!!!

Candlelight Processional will impact on those days, but shouldn't be a big deal on the other days leading up to it. There may be some parade re-routing due to the stage set-up, but it's not too bad.

I would probably go week after Thanksgiving. That seems to be better crowd-wise, since people have gone back to school/work, and haven't started Christmas breaks yet. Obviously, all bets are off with SWGE, but I would expect the week of Thanksgiving to suck crowdwise!

We have never been the week before but we have had success the week after. We used to go the week after every year, for a long time the park was really empty. That doesn't really seem to be the case anymore.

The week of Thanksgiving can be difficult -- lots of schools have the entire week off now, so even the days before the holiday can be very crowded. With SWGE thrown into the mix and so many families wanting to see it, I fear that will just add to the congestion. So the week before or the week after get my vote.
