My DS had his second birthday two months ago. We had a party with friends/family. One of my really good friends told me she was going to get DS a savings bond instead of a toy which I truly appreciated. She asked for his SSN which I gave (trust her totally - she's the administrator of our will if the time ever comes). To date, I have not received any savings bond. I'm not sure if I should ask her about it bc I'm worried that if she did buy it, it never came. But I don't want it to look like I'm looking for something if she hasn't gotten it yet.

Should I say something?

It takes about 8 weeks or so for the bond to show up, so maybe yes, maybe no. I would give it a couple more weeks.

If she's a good friend you should ask her. Two months is long enough and she might think you got it and didn't mention it to her.

I would probably wait another week or so, then ask her.
