My DS turns 16 in 2007 and I am going to give him a cruise/land or just cruise trip for his birthday. So either way he will be in Disney on his birthday.

Now would you do land/sea or 7 day cruise?

I told him he can have 7 days of Disney!

I know I know so early to plan. But while I am thinking of it I thought I would ask.

I am going to see if I can sneak in a 2006 4 day cruise too.

Guess I may never own a car till DS is 18. LOL!

Well, I like the cruise better...so I'd do the 7 day cruise. HOwever, the rather presupposes that he's done WDW. My DD (age 13) loves The Stack and the games/programs, etc. there.

If you do both land and sea, you can frequently save $ by booking them separately, but ultimately that is dependent on number of persons, season, category, etc.

Thanks for your input. Yes he will have done Disney World 2 times by the time the 2007 deal rolls around.

I guess I will have to keep thinking and saving. I want this to be the birthday of a life time.

It would be our first cruise unless I can pull off a 2006 date. We shall see.

I guess I better get 2005 paid off first.

You may never own that car but you'll get yourself something that's worth even more.....wonderful memories. I've said it before but I have to say it again....life can change in a heartbeat, a phone call, a lab result. Enjoy yourselves now and have fun planning!

Our last trip, last October, we gave the kids 3 options to pick from & they both (whew!) picked the L/S option.

However, it was my older son's 18th b'day & we were going to give him first choice priority anyway. Same will happen for the next one eventually.

I'm with you tevagirl! Make your memories... they really are the best investment... and sure to appreciate in value!;)

It all depends on how much your son likes WDW.. If he had been MAGIC KINGDOMed to death I opt for the cruise. That way he gets to see more ports and not just disney stuff. But that is just MHO..
