Hello DISers!

I am struggling with memory maker. On my last trip (which was 2012) I did pre-purchase the CD and loved it. However, we were going to the Halloween party and I knew we were going to do several Char M&G.

This time, the situation is a little different.
I don't know how many chars we will meet with this time (maybe just A&E if I can get the FP).
We won't be doing any character meals.
But we are going to try to ride a few of the rides that take photos (I have that list somewhere...)

We will only be in the parks for 3 days and not even 3 full days. This trip is with my daughter's dance studio. She will perform in DTD one day and take a workshop with Disney dancers on another. Plus, we will have to attend a meeting on our arrival day to make sure we all know times and procedures.

As of right night the schedule is....

Wed (arrival day)- MK and parent meeting
Thurs- Epcot and maybe another park (depending upon the performance time. this is going to take a bug chunk out of the day)
Fri- DHS and the workshop

It's the price that is causing me concern. I already purchased the 3-day Photo pass for Universal and that was only $59 (but the price just jumped to $99). I don't know if I want to stop at all the photo pass locations this trip (like I did last time bc I had purchased the CD).

I can still use a card to get pics taken at photo pass spots, correct? Can I see those pics later and download them if I wish?

Help me, DISers!

thanks
~PM

For a trip that short and with some scheduled activities, I think you may not want it. The pre-purchase price is $169 and you can see and purchase individual photo downloads for $15 each. You'd have to buy more than 11 photos to add up to a MM purchase.

thanks! That is what I was thinking too. My last trip was that short too (3 days), but like I said.... we went to the Halloween party and did not have any other activities interrupting our day.

I saw in another thread, that you can get a video of your ride on 7DMT and Tot? How cool are those? Is there a way someone can post their video?
We plan on riding both and that might be fun to have. But I'm not sure it's worth the $169 (especially after paying only $59 for Universal's photopass!)

The 7DMT video is cute but short - basically some stock video of the ride with two inserted segments of your section of the car; they do your segments in slo mo so you can find yourself. I'll bet if you go on YouTube and look for it, you can find some examples. I don't think I'd do MM just for the ride videos.

I'm probably skipping MM next year. Unless they bring in some new characters (still miffed about no Joy and Sadness!), I probably won't do a lot of m&g next year, and the CMs have always been super great about taking photos with my phone or camera. If you can still get an individual photo pass card, I might do that for a couple of things, just in case.

I did find videos on youtube of both 7DMT and ToT. Cute, but not worth $169!

I'm going to skip it this trip. I can't imagine getting more than 11 photos this trip, even if we do stop at the photopass spots. I will still get a photopass card (you can still do that right?) just for unexpected M&G and photo stops.

Well, in that situation (short trip that's not a full blown family vacation), I would not get it. I would just have CM's use my camera to take our photos.

Dan
