I jsut got an offer on an item I have on ebay--its for a camera and photo printer both very old--the offer

was an low ball offer and besides that its going to the netherlands which I have shipped internationaly before with no issues

I just ship with the global shipping and let ebay take care of everything

if I go through with this Im thinking of countering--but what do you guys think of selling a camera and sending it over seas

and the other times Iv shipped overseas since the person just paid what I was asking and did not put in an offer I guess I just never realized it went overseas at first

so Im open to all advice

what would you do

thanks all

How is an overseas buyer connected with or related to how to counteroffer? (Your opinion)

My inclination is to not accept and also to not suggest an alternate price when you get a way lowball offer.

thanks for your reply-I guess my main concern is to make sure I send it to the global shipping center and for some reason I feel funny sending an american overseas--I dont know why I feel funny

like I said Ive sent things overseas before but the person just bought it for what I had it listed for--this time I had it listed "best offer" so in the offer it send ship to the netherlands--and since I didnt know where the others were from until all was said and done I just want o be responiable for shipping overseas

thanks again

It's my understanding that when you use the global shipping program through eBay, you are responsible for getting it to eBay in Kentucky and they take care of the International part. There is no liability on your part for the International leg of the journey. If it gets lost/broken, eBay deals with it. We use this program all the time and have never had a problem. You need to make sure it would be shipped through this program first. Now, the low-ball offer I would counter unless you are comfortable accepting that price.

thanks so much leahgoogle for the great explation that helps so much.. i should be signed up for it already since ive shipped that way before this doesnt change does it

thanks again

You can accept or reject an offer. We make offers all the time. If they reject we take no offense to it. I hope someone gets what they are asking.

thanks for all the great replies--I did counter the offer split the difference to which the buyer rejected -he didnt even hesitate--and actually Im quite relieved that its done--for some reason I want comfortable shipping a vintage camera and photo printer overseas I dont know why--not if it was a peice of clothing I wouldnt think twice about it odd inst it

Im sure there be another buyer

thanks for the re-accurance--Im glad this is over Ive already got alot of views on it again--it dont know what it was I just was all jittery sending this camera to the Netherlands if it was here I wouldnt feel that way--Im thinking along the lines
camera + overseas =problems( fraud)

thanks again and I know another buyer will be along
take care
