What would you choose - PBH or RPR if solo?

I'm planning my next trip away for 2010, but it's a 'different' trip in that I'm going 'solo'. My boyfriend is not into Orlando at all (can you believe it!) and I'm fed up pandering to other people's whims so this time it'll just be me and I can do what I want when I want.

I'm doing a split stay, 2 nights at Universal before heading on over to Disney.

I've stayed at both the PBH and RPR before and loved both, I'm thinking RPR might be best for me on this occasion as at PBH I did feel it was a bit too quiet sometimes, something I don't really think I'd be comfortable with by myself. I don't want HRH, it just isn't me I'm afraid.

Would welcome any suggestions/opinions at to what's 'best for me :)

Thanks

I just got back from RPR and wouldn't stay again at the price I paid which was $249 with two passes included. Portofino was the same price minus the passes.
Portofino is so much bigger and quieter. I found the walls at RPR ARE paper thin and I heard every sound from above, below and next door. I didn't find POP that bad!

The grounds are lovely! My room wasn't ready until after 5, we had to get on three different lines for tickets etc and communication I found lacking. That said, you alone don't need the extra room and prefer some noise, well? If you can get a good price go for RPR.

Have a great time wherever!!

I love the RPR. I found the rooms beautiful and the decor was exactly what I expected.

I would feel totally comfortable here alone. To me Portifino is just too big and remote.

I was surprised at Qtips response as we found RPR to be very quiet when we went to sleep. I would choose the RPR because I like walking to the parks and PBH is further.

Thanks everyone - I think I will go with RPR as I just found PBH a little too quiet (i.e. not many people about).

:thumbsup2 That's what I'd do...love RPR! Though I've never stayed at PBH (but have spent lots of time walking around, taking pics, eating, etc.), I find it to be so freakin' quiet. I prefer a more lively atmosphere myself.

Good for you for taking a solo trip, I think that's awesome. Nothing quite like doing what you want, when you want. Have fun! :)
