50 Prime Time @ MGM STUDIO's

We know - clean your plate (well maybe minus onions and peas), but would you order.....?

Old-Fashioned Pot Roast - slow-roasted until fork tender, Yukon gold mashed potatoes, carrots, celery and onions $14.29
Is the pot roast really like Mom's ?

Chicken Pot Pie - flaky pastry atop creamy cheese mixture of chicken, mushrooms, broccoli, carrots, celery, onions and peas $13.79
Are the onions small pieces ? Could I pick out the peas ?

Golden Fried Chicken - served with Yukon gold mashed potatoes, chicken gravy and green beans $13.29
Are the green breans fresh or taste like canned ?

I had the pot roast and wasn't impressed. Next time(if we go there again) I'd get the fried chicken solely based on the pictures of it I have seen here... It is SOOO yummy looking!

We were there just a couple weeks ago. Hubby had the pot roast I had the chicken. Both were very good, he said he wished he would have ordered the chicken though. Pot roast is great, just not as great as my own.

YES!!!!

Oh, I thought you were asking if I'd order all three. LOL

The fried chicken is my favorite, but I also love the pot roast. The best thing about the chicken is less vegetables than the others. LOL And the green beans aren't horrible. Kind of sweet, but easy to eat. I'm definitely not a vegetables person, but I usually have no problem eating all my veggies there, especially with wife grabbing a few here and there.

I had the chicken pot pie last October - it was heavenly! Hubby had the fried chicken and loved it...but then, if it used to cluck it is always his favorite food. He isn't exactly discerning when it comes to chicken. ;)

The onions are in small pieces and yes you could pick out the peas. I am not a "Pot Pie" person but for some reason I ordered this. It was actually really good and I enjoyed it - It did however have several large pieces of brocoli in it (a plus for me but maybe not for you).

Golden Fried Chicken - served with Yukon gold mashed potatoes, chicken gravy and green beans $13.29

This is excellent if you like fried chicken - and the green beans are fresh not canned. The mashed potatoes are good as well.

Hope this helps you to make your decision - oh and Dad's Super Sundae really is Super!

I enjoyed the Fried Chicken on one visit, and the last time I had the Pot Pie. I enjoyed it as well. I think the Fried Chicken was my fav.

I LOVE the fried chicken there! Had the pot roast once and thought it was great too! Lunch there on Friday, I can't wait!

Yummy fried chicken! This is one of my DH's favorite places. Every trip we go we have to do Prime Time. If your nice about, it you can ask for corn instead of the green beans. The PB & J shake is out of this world! I have had the shrimp pasta and it was good. Usually we get the fried chicken.

On my last visit, I had the fried chicken. It was wonderful! In our group of 10, everyone ordered either the chicken, the pot pie, the pot roast, and some sort of fried seafood sandwich (no longer on the menu) - and everybody was happy with their choices, except for the person with the sandwich. I will be there again next week, and have already decided on the fried chicken. :thumbsup2

I had the pot roast. It was tender and delicious. I would definately recommend it. I don't know if they give smaller portions for lunch (by the looks of the price, I don't think so); but I do remember that it was ALOT of food. I couldn't finish it, but dh liked my pot roast better than his meatloaf so he cleaned my plate :)

The fried chicken is really really good, and the green beans are fresh not canned. My bf thought I was taking a photo of him, but it was really of my meal :rotfl2:

LMGDAO!! Now THAT'S how everybody should look when they're at Disney World. :) Look tat his face :woohoo:

Sadly,

I am no longer happy with 50 PT Cafe
They changed the menu a while back, and the new selections are more like dinner than lunch.

Bring back the French Dip, Bring back Aunt Sally's chicken salad.

I was very disappointed and most likely will not return untill they change the menu again.

But I will say, The chicken dinner was good, just not a lunch meal.

I love the fried chicken but I ask for onion rings instead of green beans. I really love the onion rings. I had all dark meat so I am sure you could get all white though it may cost a little more.

I would pick the fried chicken and DW would probably pick the pot roast. Both are great and we have never had any problems with them.

I really like the pot roast. It's very good, different than mine, but delicious and the potatoes and veggies are yummy too.
