Walking around the park a few weeks ago I was thinking about some pictures from Walt I saw recently.

It is Walt inside Disneyland. I know that he often walks around the park to feel the atmosphere.

I was sitting on a bench at DLP just like him in Disneyland and imagine about what would Walt say about this park.

Would he be satisfied with it ?

Would he love the new technical improvements ?

Would he love "Dreams" ?

I know we all did not know him and that it is difficult to say this .... but just imagine and dream a little bit:

What would Walt say ?

I think he'd be impressed with the general theatre and lay out of the park, with the castle being the jewel in the crown of any of the parks.

However, I know of one quote he made "You can design and create, and build the most wonderful place in the world. But it takes people to make the dream a reality" which I think is my favourite quote (in fact I always keep it in mind when I recruit for my own shop)

Trouble is, I sometimes feel that is not kept in the foreground with some cast members. Don't get me wrong, on the main I feel the CM's do a cracking job and provide a unique experience, but the one or two that don't really brings down the name of Disney!!

Having read quiet a bit about Walt I'm not too sure he would like a lot of things in many of the Disney parks. I can't imagine what Walt would do with the technology that is available now I bet it would be amazing though!

The second picture is a recreation of when he come up with the idea for Disneyland. He was sat on a park bench whilst his daughters were on the merry go round. I love that picture. I often think can you imagine if he never thought of creating a Disney resort? How different everything would be? So many other theme parks have worked from Disney ideas.

I can imagine him being impressed with the beauty of the park but he'd be upset with maintenance issues, lack of technical updates (as there are many things that seem dated and not updated since opening day), food, hospitality and happy helpful cast members.

I always wonder if Walt were around whether really old attractions would still be around? The attractions we know and love like the classics, would they be classics or still here if Walt was in charge?

I think he already turned around in his grave a few times, when he saw how rude some people can be.
(sorry to phrase it like that)

I don't think that this is what he wanted people to react when they are at Disneyland.

I think he would love the beauty of the park (ok, not minding the things that need to be fixed, hehe), but looking at the castle, it just looks so fairytail-like and magical princess:
