Since I missed the cutoff to book a room using the promotion that ended yesterday, I'm thinking of buying DVC points for a villa. I don't know anything about the villas at all. Just lookiing for suggestions.

Which is your favorite park?

Well there's Bay Lake Tower with a theme park view of the MK or Boardwalk Villas which are right by Epcot and you can walk in through International Gateway :)

We stayed at BLT and really enjoyed it for the location. Being walking distance to the MK was great since we were there with my 2 yo DD. We later stayed at SSR. The room was bigger and the villa itself was just as nice but we didn't care for the location or the spawling nature of the resort. We felt that SSR was more like staying at a moderate while BLT had more of a "deluxe" feel. I might have appreciated the proximity to DTD more if it were an adults only trip for for us it is better to be close to a park. I have stayed at BWI and I've toured the BWV but haven't stayed there. If you love EPCOT then that location can't be beat and the boardwalk is a fun abiance especially if you have time to go out and enjoy the night life. We are staying there for our next family trip. The BCV also has the proximity to EPCOT and the boardwalk plus Stormalong Bay is felt by many to be the best pool at WDW. I haven't been in the villas there.

So to answer you question; my order of preference for the villas is:
1. BLT
2. BWV or BCV
3. WLV
4. AKL (I've never stayed here but the theme looks fun. I just don't like having to ride a bus to every park)
5. OKW
6. SSR

We are BWV "owners" and LOVE how easy it is to head to EPCOT or HS or ESPN for dinner kids love the keister coaster and we just love to hang out on the boardwalk and see illuminations . We have been fortunate to see the fireworks from our balcony many times1

I know I am a manority here but we love Okw. We stayed paying cash before becoming members. It is so nice to return to a quiet layed back resort after all the hustle and bustle of the parks. I love taking the boat from OKW to dtd too. I haven't met a villa I don't likw though :)

We own at BLT and LOVE LOVE LOVE it. Have never regretted our decision for one second.

The proximity to the MK is worth every penny and then some. We visit the MK every day of our trip, so this works wonderfully for us. Waking up to hear the MK railroad train whistle, or the monorail swooshing by - you really feel right in the middle of the magic. It's amazing!

Hi bcbmommy,

Our top 3 choices in preference would be, Beach Club Villas, excellent location and Stormalong Bay. Old Key West and the Villas at Wilderness Lodge.

Bear in mind that no matter where you own you have the opportunity to make reservations at any of the DVC Resorts and because they are all different we've never felt that we are going back to the same place year after year.

We've only ever had one regret on becoming DVC members, we never purchased enough points and have therefore added more over the years.

Best wishes.
