What would be the ultimate

My nepew was 5yo last summer: hands down Chef Mickey's! Nine months later he still mentions it. :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Lots of food choices, 5 characters, singing, dancing, napkin waving, monorail cruising by overhead, bright, airy just so much going on.

Yes, both definitely need reservations. They are extremely popular. CRT is also quite expensive.

For a character meal: Chef Mickey's

No characters: Coral Reef

Mine also really liked Whispering Canyon Cafe, Liberty Tree Tavern, and Crystal Palace. :goodvibes

5yo definitely needs characters for an Ultimate Dining experience. :rotfl:

My nephew's top 3 things at Disney:
1. Characters
2. Chef Mickey's
3. Goofy's Barnstormer

True - but being "under the sea" at Coral Reef is an amazing experience. My kids were mesmerized. Coral Reef, Chef Mickey's, Crystal Palace, and Sci-Fi are on their "must-do-every-trip" list. :goodvibes

We too loved CR food and he loved the aquarium and ate all his food. Harder to get them to eat at those busy character meals.

We are about to leave for our 5-year-old's 4th trip. I asked him this weekend what is favorite place to eat is and he said Crystal Palace with the Pooh characters.

Other Character meals: He likes Chef Mickey's. Garden Grill in the Land Pavillion at EPCOT is typically our best character interaction. The characters there spend more time, and are more personal with the kids. They have sat down with us,colored on or autographed their menus, and they even fed DD when she was 6 months old.

Non-Character: 'Ohana and Biergarten

Counter service: Toy Story Pizza Planet at Hollywood Studios. Do not underestimate this place, especially for young boys. Large Toy Story characters adorn the building inside and out with pizza and an arcade.

Dumb question.... please is the hollywood studio park in florida also? Anything Toy Story related I need to know about for sure as this is a make a wish trip and I'm planning the days we are there around his wish. :)

Toy Story Pizza Planet is a counter service restaurant at the Disny Hollywood Studios park. The mainstay of the menu is pizza, though there are other items. Also there is a game room there.

Upon entering DHS go straight to "Mickey's hat" and turn left TSPP will be down the hill a bit and CM's will be able to direct you. It opens near lunch time, say 11am?

Sorry, I had switched over to a baseball board for a while. Looks like your questions about Pizza Planet have been answered. As previously stated, it is counter service pizza. It will never be mistaken for fine cuisine, but the kids love it. I was showing our planning book to some friends who have never been the other day, and they picked Pizza Planet as the place their son would HAVE to go to.

Any other Toy Story stuff ? I'm going to try all the food places listed here. I know you guys know what you're talking about...I think Dilly could do pizza and arcade everyday though.
