:santa:I was just sitting here talking with DF about what to get our pets (our children) for Christmas, so I figured I would ask my Dis friends. So let it all out, what should we get our pets for Christmas?!?!? :santa:

We always get our dog a stuffed dog toy. It might last 5 minutes until totally destroyed. I also got him and the grandpuppies animal crackers and paws ice cream.

Last year, she got a brand new cat condo/climbing/scratching playground since we had just moved and she was scratching up my tv chest.

This year, I am heading to WDW in a few weeks and she loves a certain cat toy I have only found there so I will be picking up some of those and she will get a late christmas present.

Oh jeeze...santa's being awfully good to my animals this year even though they all deserve giant chunks of coal. They are each getting a new bed. Mama cat is getting a scratching board. Mex, the other cat, is getting a giddy hole thing with a scratching post attached. Miami and Lacey, the younger dogs are getting some new toys. Miami is also getting a bag of treats. Jake, the older dog is getting a ton of treats and busy bones. Lacey and Jake are both getting a pig ear too. The dogs have stockings that I'm going to fill with their toys and treats.

Last year, Lacey got a backpack and toy that she loves but shreds instantly so she only gets one at Christmas. Jake got treats. Mama cat got a toy that hangs over the door. We didn't have Miami or Mex then.

All the animals at the shelter I work at will get ground beef for Christmas breakfast (along with their regular food). They also always get a couple toys and usually a special food treat they don't normally get in addition to their normal treats (milkbones, but they usually get an extra one or two on Christmas). This year, though, we did an angel tree for them so they will all also get a new bed. Some of the cats will get new scratching posts/boards. They will all get catnip toys. Some of the dogs will get new Kongs stuffed with peanut butter (some of the dogs asked for a Kong and some peanut butter on the angel tree and people have been very generous so far).

My kitty girls love small stuffed animals to cuddle and throw around so Caly, because she is my little piggy is getting a small stuffed Ham from Toy Story and Cleo is getting Stretch from Toy Story 3. They are also getting a play cube and cat treats.

My dog doesn't touch toys. She is getting a new memory foam bed and a bunch of her favorite treats.

We usually spend about $10 at the dollar store and buy them (2 small dogs) 10 dog toys so that they can have fun for a few days ripping them up. This year we decided to spluge a little and buy a Kong (old one disappeared) and one of those stuffing-less fox toys. We also bought one of the stockings full of dog toys at Walmart. We wanted them to have a couple of better quality toys that might stick around longer but also got some stuff for them to tear up.

Cat nip mice for the two kitties. For our pup: new food/water dishes, a small frisbee (he's a mini daschund) and two stuffed toys.

Stuffed animal and a bag of dog treats. My dog's favorite part of Christmas is helping all of us rip open the presents. :lmao:

The cats are getting treats, no toys because we have a bunch for the kitten. :) The kitten is also getting a new food/water dish and a scratching post. But we haven't brought that in yet because DD14 is getting the kitten for Christmas and doesn't know yet so, if we brought in the scratching post she'd know right away! LOL She'll find out Christmas Day that she gets to keep him. :)
The dog is getting some treats and a couple of toys, she will tear them to bits but she will love them while they last. :)

I planned on getting them a couple of new kongs and treats to put in. I was also eying up some sturdy squeaky toys, too.

Lucky, I got some Petco coupons in the mail today! :thumbsup2

well, our pooch just destroyed his Mr. Bill toy he got last Christmas...:headache: It is his favorite, but I came downstairs to find the dtuffing and sound box on the outside when it should be on the inside and a very guilty looking pooch :rotfl:
The bummer is trying to find one now..the sell out by October!
Kids got him a new bed and then it came with a $5 coupon for anything in the store, so guess we will make use of that for a new toy!

Our dog has a stocking. :goodvibes Every year, Santa brings her a treat to eat and a new toy.
