We are going down the week before Easter. What is the weather like now and what do you think it will be like? I know the weather sites say highs in the 80 and lows in the 50s I think, but is it humid? Is there the afternoon rain shower every day? Will we need jackets at night? Can we swim? (I know the pools are heated) Will I want to wear shorts or capris more?

Not exactly sure what it will be like then. However, my sister is there right now and weather has been in the mid-upper 80s! So, give it a month and i think you're talking shorts!

We have had very dry and warm weather for the past month (no rain in three weeks), and it has been in the mid 70s to mid 80s. While no one can really predict the weather that far out, if this pattern continues you should have great weather.

Afternoon showers do not generally start until June, April is one of the driest months....and one of the best months in my opinion!

It does still get chilly in the eveing, depending on what you are doing at the parks, you may need a sweatshirt.

With the sun and heated pools, I would think that you will surely be able to swim. DD has already been using our pool, and it is not heated.

My DW and I were down the week before Easter last year. The weather was fine except for the rain from a cold front that was hanging around the area. Every day was somewhat cloudy if not rainy, but we live just two hours north of Orlando and the two or three weeks before our trip had been pretty much without any rain at all. So there is no way to say for sure. The worst winter storm I can remember was from March of 1996? The “No Name Hurricane” that came through and left 70 mph winds, tornados, snow, etc. all over the southeastern US, including Florida. That was fun… But generally March is comfortable weather that can slide either into the cooler temps or warmer temps, is often breezy, and sometimes rains. Can’t get much more detailed than that until you get about a week away from your trip. I will say that you should bring at least one warm outfit just in case, and rain gear just in case, but expect mostly warm weather. Swimming should not be a problem at all unless there is a freak cold front.

I think you should check closer to the time you'll be leaving. The weather can be very changeable this time of year. It will likely be very nice.

We were there the end of April last year and ran into a cold spell. The Sunday we arrived I was wearing jeans and a sweatshirt walking around DTD as it got to about 50 and windy! It beat the 25 and snow we had at home that day, but still not real warm (to me anyway!) :sunny:

well heres our present forcast so anything in FLA is better than this:

"THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LINCOLN HAS ISSUED A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM CST THIS AFTERNOON. THE WINTER STORM WARNING HAS BEEN CANCELED AT 10 AM.

LIGHT SNOW SHOWERS WILL OCCUR THROUGH MID AFTERNOON...WITH UP TO 1 INCH OF ADDITIONAL ACCUMULATIONS ESPECIALLY JUST SOUTH OF I-72 AND FROM PEORIA NORTHWARD. NORTHEAST WIND GUSTS OF 20 TO 30 MPH WILL CONTINUE BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW AND BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW WILL CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SLIPPERY ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES...AND USE CAUTION WHILE DRIVING."

This is absolutely our favorite time to go!!! Everytime we've gone the weather has been wonderful! Middle 80's.no rain or very little. We brought sweatshirts for nighttime but hardly ever used them. We went this past June and the weather was awful. It was stinking hot and rained alot!!! :sad2: It's back to Easter for us! :sunny:
