What will I have a better chance of getting?

We have a trip booked at BWV 5/18-5/23. We are in a preferred room 5/18-5/22 and Boardwalk view 5/22-5/23. That's all they had available. We waitlisted for 5/18-5/22 for a boardwalk view so we wouldn't have to move, should I give up and reverse the waitlist to the one night 5/22-5/23 preferred? How big of a hassel is it to move to a new room? Will we have to check out and check our bags and come back later when a room is ready?

I can live with moving after just our first night, but I hate moving before our last night. Packing up to change rooms a day early always makes me feel like the trip is already over.

I would keep the BW view waitlist, but also waitlist for the PV. Since it is only one night and there is far more inventory, you are likely to get that night.

And, of course, with DVC, you knwo you will be back! Promise yourself that you will book earlier on another trip so that you can enjoy the BW view!

Moving mid trip can be a pain. Mostly because of the packing and unpacking, plus the time in between when you don't have a room. If you are out by 11:00AM, you may not have your new room until 4:00PM. What do you do with your frig items? We are moving on our April trip, but we decided to spend the extra points and overlap, so we will keep our one room for an extra day. I know it's a strange way to do it, but we have the grand babies with us and being without a room for most of the day did not work well last August. So we will be in our room until Monday, but my daughter checks into a larger unit on Sunday. We will move our stuff Sunday evening and our studio room will be empty Sunday night (unless we stay there one more night).

Thanks, we had another family coming with us so we had a 2 bedroom boardwalk view booked at 11 months but they canceled on us so we changed to a 1 bedroom to save the points. I'm just worried if I do the waitlist the other way what are the chances they will come in the same time and I have to move the last night anyway but to a preferred view from a boardwalk. I have the strangest luck. I guess that's the worst that could happen so I'll call to change it.
