I just can't decide...so many options.. :confused3
I will be taking my dd aged 7 to the BBB next August. :sunny: I will be getting the castle package so she will be all dresses up afterwards and need somewhere special to go.
Heres where iam stuck...shall we do an early morning appointment...followed by lunch in the castle? But august is sooo hot Iam worried about dd being dresses up for the whole day in the heat.
So I thought perhaps a afternoon appointment followed by dinner in the castle.
But wait....no princesses at dinner. ;) ..Not really interested in park faire..

Would LOVE to here what everyone else did or is planning to do after bbb  especially timings and how that worked out.

We went to a park and then to Boma. My oldest didn't have a dress on, but it was July and HOT. My youngest doesn't complain when she is dressed like a princess though princess:

Just to clarify, it is Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. So to shorten it would be... Bib Bob Boutique :teeth:

Iam getting my bips and my bops mixed up..I mean bibs and bobs!!?! :teeth:

I think Iam leaning towards a 10am appointment followed by a 1pm lunch in the castle. Then hopefully stake out a place and watch the afternoon parade..as I know dd will get attention from the characters in the parade if all done up :) ,,But I will have to see if she can stand the heat.
I'll bet after spending $200..she will just want to jump in the pool after the parade...oh well. ;)

We're doing it in 3 weeks.

We'll all get our hair done (yeah, I said all of us. :rotfl: me, my SIL, and my 2 DDs) I'll have my DDs wear their princess dresses, then dinner at Bahama Breeze, then on to the ball (MNSSHP)LOL

Have a terrific trip!

In March, 2 of my nieces have an appointment at 3 then we are going to 1900 Park Faire for dinner. One niece will have the castle package and wants the Cinderella dress. The other one will be 13 and is just having her hair, makeup, and nails done.

I have an afternoon BBB appointment for my DD, we are then heading to WCC for early dinner and then the Pirate & Princess Party

Why not do the Princess dinner at Epcot?

I thought of this...But really want to try to stick with the MK. There is just something magical about walking around the MK dresses up as a princess. :wizard:

I think she will get much more attention here...plus it is her favourite park.

Ideally i would have liked dinner at the castle but with no princesses it will have to be lunch.

I like to be regimented with times for things like this...I think its an illness I have...planning syndrome ;)

So far I think...10am castle package at BBB....1pm lunch at CRT...Stake out place for parade 2.30pm..watch parade 3pm.

That takes us to about 3.30pm...So hopefully we can catch a couple of air conditioned rides...peter pan...its a small world...philamagic...And all i can think of then is to leave MK at around 4.30pm and head back to POFQ.

Anyone have any other suggestions?

My 5yo DD did a 10:15 appointment with hair, make-up and nails in July. She wore her own Cinderella dress. She then did the 1:00 Alice in Wonderland Tea Party at the GF. We took it easy for a few hours and then did the 5:00 HDDR show! DD changed out of her Cinderella dress into another dress she wanted to wear for HDDR. Two other girls who were at the boutique in the morning when DD was there were also at the 5:00 show. All looked really good still despite the heat and humidity! :)

DD has already told me several times since that she would love to do BBB again. I'd love to plan another fun day with her in mind. I liked the morning appointment b/c she got a whole day to show off her hair and make-up and it allowed time for other fun activities.

OK ... another 'hip' momma. I went with DD in August and she thought I was SOOOO cool. She still talks about it.

What style are you going to get, Mom?

Our daughter had an early afternoon appt. last week. It was DH's and my anniversary, so we took her with us that night to California Grille for dinner. I think she got just as much attention if not more from the wait staff there, then from the short amount of time she would have had with any characters. Later in the week we went to the Princess breakfast at Norway (great BTW). DD didn't wear any costume and later said she was glad she didn't as it was hot. All the other girls were visibly melting in their little outfits. No matter what you decide though, you are sure to have FUN!

A month ago we had a 2 pm appointment at BBB for dd6. She chose to wear her own Aurora dress and she had the hair, makeup, and nail package - castle, I think. Anyway, no need to worry about attention, it will come. Just at Downtown Disney going from BBB with a brief look around in World of Disney (which is the place where BBB is located) to the car, dd must have been ooohed and ahhhed and even courtsied at by more than a dozen groups of people. Seriously, people just really respond to the girls all down up.

We had dinner at 6 pm at Park Faire, and it was wonderful. Not sure why this is not something you are interested in, but we have had meals at the castle (breakfast and lunch) and we all far prefer this meal for both food and character interaction. Plus, great photo ops at the gf...it is such a pretty resort and you have the carriage parked out front and all. I highly recommend this meal.

A cute thing at the dinner, a dad actually came up and asked if his dd could have her picture taken with our dd. He said his dd asked for it and she loves aurora and loved my dd's hairdo - how cute is that!

After dinner dd was fine to go to the park in her dress since it was dark and a bit cooler. I took our dd1 back to the room, but dh and our sons said that dd was the belle of the ball at MK that night LOL
