What will be open on Night Of Joy??

Hey,i've been on the boards for a while but I dont post much.

Any idea on what rides WILL be open on Night Of Joy? I am going with my school this year(dont worry,I dont listen to the music). I know Big Thunder Mountain Railroad will be closed but what else will? I also plan to spend 2 hours at Alien Encounter . Also,do you think Mickey's Philarmagic could possibly have a preview that night?

Hey, when I read your subject line I clicked on it because I was going to say, imho, if you aren't going for the music, don't go, but then I read you are going with your shool and I'll change that 100% and say go - those kind of trips are some of my favorite memories of wdw. If you are going with your school (or church for that matter) you'll have a fun time. Everybody should get to go to wdw on a school bus a few times. As for NOJ, I don't know what is on rehab this particular year, but most everything that is open for the day should be open for the night; it isn't like e-night where they only open up some rides, everything should be going. In Sept. there shouldn't be any big things down for rehab except for BTMRR, but you never know. But the thing is, don't have in mind that you will be having something like e-night where you'll just hop on things over and over, it may turn out to be more crowded for the night of joy than it was during the regular day that day. But you'll have fun with your friends and won't care. Make sure to tell us next month how it was.

Thanks for your info d-r. I actually am going with my school,because 1.)You get to go to Disney with your FRIENDS and not your parents and 2.)You get to leave school at 11 am. And we dont take a school bus but one like those Greyhound buses. I'm an annual passholder but the school wouldnt let me use it to get a discount. I also think the BTTMR is probably going to be the only one down,unless they decide to close AE early but I dont think they'll do it. I hope they'll give us a preview of Philarmagic!

Night of Joys is on Friday Sept 5 and Saturday Sept 6. The park closes early those days and only those people who have bought a separate admission ticket can attend Night of Joy.

THis is D.R. again. Yeah, I saw those nice posh grey hound busses last May when we were there during grad night - I guess I saw them last Sept. but figured that church groups had chartered them. Enjoy that bus! Back in my day it was the bluebird highway!

Night of Joy is like Grad Nite, but for all ages and they have Christian Contemporary Music concerts all over the park........

yeah, its sorta fun when you go with your friends, but if you're just gonna ride rides, it is a BIG waste of time to me. And what did you mean about "dont worry,I dont listen to the music"? That's the best part of the night!
