What was your Major in college and do you use it?

I graduated with an elementary degree, with a double minor in sociology and history. I was recruited to teach bilingual special Ed, and had to quickly get my special ed certification. Now I am an Instructional technologist, and will be finishing up my MA hopefully by Sept. So yeah, I guess I do use it

My first degree was in Religious Education and my second in Early Childhood Ed. I did work in Early Childhood ed but now only use these majors as a volunteer. Go figure!

B S in Retail Marketing- I was a jewelry buyer for a 9 store chain of Dept. stores before I had my kids, so I did use my degree for part of my career

32 years using my degrees and still going strong - 16 as a 2nd grade teacher and 16 as principal.

Associate degree in X-ray Technology. I worked in the field for about 10 years - then did the SAHM thing and now work part-time in a school office.
So - no, not now.

I graduated college with a degree in nursing and I have actively worked as a registered nurse for the past twenty years. I never have a dull day and get to meet lots of people. I currently work in ambulatory surgery and I love it! I hope I retire in that field of nursing.

My degree was in Marketing, but I have always worked in the Accounting field, first in payables, and now payroll. When they start throwing out the terms at work like "P&L", "debit", "credit", etc. - I always say "I don't know! I was a Marketing major!"

Master's in Library Science - worked as Records Manager; Librarian and currently as Web Information Consultant for corporation. Never pictured this job 25 years ago but I love what I do.
