What was your first DVC Merch purchase?

We were gifted DVC hats and a tumbler when we signed but the first thing I bought was a Boardwalk tumbler. I use it almost daily.

I keep looking for merch but haven’t found anything I like yet. I feel like there is so much untapped revenue for DVC merchandise, as it seems every resort I go to has very little. I did buy a Mickey Mouse Timex watch on our last trip, but it’s not DVC specific. I really want some good VGF and CCV shirts/sweaters.

Yeah the quality of the ones I bought on shopdisney that you personalize with your member since date are not great quality at all.

Most of the other DVC merch I have seen I dont like, the minty green stuff. The new purple stuff is a bit better.

I did see the Boardwalk specific merch and I loved it! But since I dont own there I didnt buy it. VGC is woodsy vibed not for me. VDH is retro not for me. CCV I havent been to yet. Aulani I didnt have room in my suitcase to bring stuff home.

It's been so long, I can't remember! It may have been the matching DVC jackets DH and I bought - not the prettiest color, but waterproof, warm, and perfect when you like to visit during the colder months!

I was raised in DVC, since my parents bought in when I was a kid so I had some pins and things from that (my two favorites are a pin they gave out to DVC members for the opening of Animal Kingdom and one from a DVC preview ride of Everest that came on its own lanyard). But the first thing I bought after DH and I purchased our own first contract was a DVC mug I got on our first trip on our own points. It started a tradition where I buy a mug each trip now. My most recent purchase was a DVC suitcase on our most recent trip to help bring back all the stuff we bought that trip. I don’t recommend it, mine got scuffed rather easily.

Myself - literally nothing in 6 years of owning. But merch is not my thing in general. My wife, though, is the reason merch exists - she has bought tons of sweatshirts, jewelry, stuffies, etc.

The one you bought is way cuter love the little mickeys.

It looks more expensive, the front pouch looks like a designer bag, the pattern reminds me of a Chanel bag. If they have something like that when I go I would buy it too

I believe this is the oldest thing we have, it would be from 2004. Pretty sure. I had a nice soft side cooler that I loved from shortly after that but I left it somewhere .

Tshirts for both me and my husband. Then last week bought the DVC ears and ear clip. Really wanted to buy a hoodie/jacket but didn't find anything. I agree there is a lack of good merch and their designers need to step it up as many people would love to buy more.

Nothing yet! I still feel a little embarrassed with DVC gear, especially as a non direct member.

I did get the old school 80s style Mickey WDW sweatshirt they were selling in the parks recently though. I always wanted one as a kid and never got one! WDW was simply too far away as a child; flying from the PNW to Florida was nearly unheard of outside moderately wealthy people at the time, so my first Florida trip was as an adult. And now I can buy my own darn Mickey sweatshirts!
