I was just wondering what kind of food, what menu, did everyone have for their desert party? We are thinking of going with the brownie one because its the cheapest but are still not sure.

Do you have pictures of the food at your desert party?

Thanks :)

Is it possible to just order the enhancements? Those prices are cheaper than the packages. Does Disney allow you to just order that?

we went with the kid at heart package as this worked out cheapest option. we looked at just doing tuxedo strawberries but it only worked out at 2 each and more expensive than the pacakage

You can order any combo of food and beverage you want as long as the price adds up to at least $22 per person. I wish I'd figured this out, because I would have customized a menu instead of just buying the one that cost $22pp and had stuff on it I didn't want. (Although our guests seemed to like it all!)

We had a menu they don't offer anymore, "For the Child In You" - however, it was just brownies and cookies and stuff... I'm sure they could replicate it.

You can certainly create a customized menu.

We didn't like any of the current menus, and are having:

Baklava

A nice selection of fruit

Chocolate Fudge Brownies

Chocolate Eclairs

Chocolate Chip and Sugar Cookies

We had at the time what was called "the child in you" It was cookies, brownies, lemon squares, rice crispy treats etc. We added in baklava, tirimisu and a cordial bar.

Wow, thanks for sharing all those great pictures... anyone else have pictures??

Thanks :)

DF & I each picked out menus that we liked & removed what we didn't to make a menu we both liked. I picked off the Petit Classics and I can't remember which one he picked off of. No pics cause we havent had it yet.

Chocolate and Caramel Brownies
Chocolate Chip and Sugar Cookies
Crisped Rice Treats
Miniature Cheesecakes, Chocolate Eclairs, Tiramasu and Cream Horns
Fruit Punch, Hot Coffees and Teas with Sugar Swizzles, Chocolate Mint Sticks, Licorice Drops, Flavored Syrups, Assorted Sugars, Cream, Honey and Lemon, Seasonal Beverage

We did the same for our brunch buffet for the reception.

Is there a site with current DP menus and prices? And are these menu packages only for Epcot Dessert Parties? What about Sago Cay Pointe? I would love to have a DP and we'll have 20 people max, so Sago Cay might be the way to go for us.

The decorations/linens on the tables in the pictures - is that included in the DP price, or is it extra?

Also - what drinks, if any, are included in a DP?

This site has a ton of DFTW menus, including the latest Epcot, Grand Floridian and Hollywood Studios dessert party menus:

http://www.magicalkingdoms.com/ftw/wdw/menus.html

Dessert party menus come with coffee and tea and, at some locations, fruit punch. If you want anything else, you need to pay for it.

The linens on the buffet tables are included in the price.

I believe these are the new menus

I chose the Desserts created by you which doesn't appear to be available anymore but its similar to that shortcake menu. We are having coffee, cordials, teas and fruit punch which were offered with the package and we also added the bananas flambe station.

no pics because Im not married yet. :lmao:

Does anyone know how much the individual items cost if you choose to customise your menu?

Is it a set price for e.g. individual items from the petit classics menu, or is each dessert priced diffrently?

I have completely customised my menu. I have rice crispie treats, tiramisu, cheese and crackers and key lime tarts. I don't know how much it is yet (helpful aren't I?) but I am hoping to find out today and I will let you know :thumbsup2

Does anyone know if the $22pp minimum applies to DP at Sago Cay as well?

Yes, I'd like to know the answers to the above two poster's questions as well, LOL.

I don't see a menu where I like all the items, so I'd like to pick and choose also, and need to know what applies to Sago Cay Pointe.

Anyone had a DP at Sago Cay Pointe yet??

Pinkerbell1983 - for using Sago, are you paying a flat rental fee, or do you pay a site fee plus the food fee?

I don't have my BEO yet, expecting it any day. But, no, I don't believe there is flat fee for Sago Cay Pointe. I've heard that you just have to meet a food minimum of $500. I only have 19 guests and with the cheapest option ($22pp) I am already at $462, so I guess it's not hard to meet.
Does anyone know if table decor is included in the $500 minimum?

No. that's just for Epcot.

There is no site rental fee, just the food and beverage minimum. There is also a setup fee of about $75 to bring in tables and chairs.

Unfortunately, only food and beverage apply to the $500 food and beverage minimum. :thumbsup2

OK, so for Sago Cay Pointe - the minimum you would spend is $500 for food/beverage (plus tax and service charge) and $75 (plus tax) for the set up fee? Do you know of any other mandatory charges? I only anticipate 20 people max, so I will order better food than the $22pp minimum "build a brownie" to get the $500 minimum, should we host a DP.

THANKS!

Nothing else is mandatory, but it's $800 if you want them to play the music to Wishes.... :scared:

Happy planning! :goodvibes

That is scary, LOL. If we had an extra $800, I'd just do my DP at Epcot! Is there a way to go outside at Sago Cay and hear anything?
