At the Plaza Inn on Main Street they have a birthday celebration where you can have a little birthday party with the 2 characters. I dont if things have changed for the celebration or not, but I remember kids used to be able to make little birthday cakes with Pat E Cake and they sing happy birthday to you and everything.

It's called the Pat E. Cake Birthday Party.... we were there in March as well.

How'd you like it???? We hated it... worst money we spent all trip!!

It's $15.99 per person (almost the cost of a kids character meal). The host wanders thru tables & doesn't go to every table....so depending on where you sit, you may not get any time with him. The cake was dry, the frosting stained everything including my 3 yr olds eyebrows. Mickey & Minnie come towards the end of the 40 minute party & when they do pictures, you're rushed thru (like a minute if you're lucky).......no autographs allowed!!! If you don't line up immediately, they will close off the line & not allow any more in. (one gal had taken her child to the restroom & was told they couldn't get in line when they returned).
For that kind of money, I'd rather spend it on a character meal where you get time with the characters, autographs & all the pics you want.

My 3 yr old & 8 yr old were very disappointed that they didn't get to spend more time with Mickey & Minnie & walked away with no autographs.

The wait staff also made us feel uncomfortable. When you get done seeing the characters, you go back to your table to eat your cake.......we looked up & the wait staff are watching you......like "hurry up"....we took a couple bites & left. They swarm the table to clean it up as soon as you step away....... Just a weird vibe!

To us, not worth the money AT ALL!! For it being a "semi-private" party, we expected a bit more interaction & fun.

Ditch the family and stop by there to see it in action. I have watched from the outside and it is like what Disnee Luver said. Why not do the barbecue or character meal and have real characters who spend time with your family. Best term I can give it is cutesy wutesy.

Post 11 has pictures of the birthday cake and Pat E. Cake and the event at Plaza Inn. For the $15.99 you get the cake but no food so that means you would pay $21.98 for a meal and the party that day. By the way Pat E. Cake can be amle or female and the female is a lot like Mrs. Claus last time I saw her.

Ok.....glad you found it. I just wanted to verify the name since there were two different names mentioned above. We liked the party also and have great pics with the birthday party background for our scrapbook too. I hope your scrapook turns out great.
