What was the most disappointing attraction closing?

I loved "If you had wings" too. Also miss Horizons and World of Motion. Those were all attractions that everyone in the family could enjoy together and I loved that. Not everyone enjoys the things that have taken their place.

Its not an attraction but I really miss the Tapestry of Nations/Dreams parade.

Whaaaaat? No more Tapestry??? I haven't started planning my September trip in earnest, so I didn't know this had been eliminated! I didn't like Dreams as much as Nation, but still... :sad1:

/me goes to pout

You could probably open a NEW mini-park with the attractions I liked that they deep-sixed:
World of Motion
Horizons
Mr. Toad
Skyway
IF you had Wings
Figment
20,000 Leagues
Film called Magic Journeys"
I/O computer "show" at Epcot
The film they had at Epcot showing the U.S.

Add River Country and all the fine restaurants that no longer exist--- well, one could just cry:sad:

We loved (and miss dearly) the Hunchback show at MGM and the Tapestry of Nations/Dreams parade at Epcot.

Well, it's not officially closed, but my DS is really bummed that Body Wars is NEVER OPEN anymore.

(But secretly, I'm kinda glad! :crazy2: )

For DH it's 20,000 Leagues.
For me, Alien Encounter -- loved some of the jokes like "looks like my mother-in-law," and "this one looks fat/juicy." Also World of Motion -- loved the humor about troubles travel caused.
My kids miss Mr. Toad (luckily we can visit my brother and go to DL to see it).

I cried like a baby over Horizons. I'm still furious at WDW for that. What were they thinking?????

I really don't like Pooh that much, and I didn't realize how much I missed Mr. Toad until I was at DL last summer and rode it there! Man, what a great ride!

These are my fondest memories of Epcot when I was a kid......
Horizons
World Of Motion

I also loved Hoizons and World of Motion. I guess I've been Epcot intensive since it opened. As far as Mr. Toad, I did like it but I like Pooh better. Have any of you Mr. Toad lovers seen the website, Virtual Toad, that is recreating the whole ride in 3-D digital animation? It's pretty amazing, so far, since it's still in production, but they have short clips and animation set up. You can can see it here http://virtual-toad.com/ if you'd like.

I totally miss these:

1. Mickey Mouse Revue
2. Horizons
3. World of Motion

Mickey Mouse Revue was my FAVE as a small child. I worked at Horizons and World of Motion as a CM and had lots of great memories from there. Sigh... I really miss the tangerine candy (that smelled like the Horizons ride) that GE had in their candy dish in the GE VIP lounge on top of Horizons. YUM!

Oh, the good old days. I'm surprised only one person mentioned the old Tiki Birds! The old one was so classic! The new one isn't bad, I just wish that they sang more of the old song. Maybe finish the show with them all singing it one last time.

I also noticed someone say they could open a park with all the closed attractions. That's not a bad thought...this wouldn't be a bad park:

Mr. Toad's Wild Ride
20,000 Leagues Under the Sea
Skyway
Horizons
World of Motion
The Original Journey Into Your Imagination
If You Had Wings
Alien Encounter
Captain EO
Mickey Mouse Revue
The Lion King Show
The Hunchback of Notre Dame Show
Tapestry of Nations Parade
The Original Tiki Room
Mike Fink Keel Boats (Nobody Mentioned)

Maybe we should all come together and say we would like the next park to be "Our Old Favorites" Park!

Sounds like a grand idea.... too bad it will never happen. Well, I guess that is what dreams are for!

Now is the time
Now is the best time
Now is the best time of your life...
Life is a prize, live every minute
Open your eyes and watch how you win it!
Yesterdays memories may sparkle and gleem
Tomorrow is still but a dream
Right here and now
you've got it made
The world's forward marching and you're in the parade!
Now is the time
Now is the best time
Be it a time of joy or strife
There's so much to cheer for, be glad you're here
For it's the best time of your life!

In order:

20,000 Leagues Under the Sea
Mr. Toad's Wild Ride
Skyway

Definitely Mr Toads Wild Ride. I don't begrudge the lovable Pooh bear an attraction of his own, but I just wish they could have found somewhere else to put it!

i was a super-big fan of the orginal MGM set up mainly bc i was always involved and on stage as a lil kid. was it called superstar television??? where wdw guests were green-screened into famous tv moments. i was the kid that hit the homerun and my line was "Gee howard all i really did was close my eyes and swing" that was then proceeded by the "booty dance" :cool1: i really miss the old backlot tour. when u saw the MMC set(and yes i saw justin timberlake and britney spears) and the honey i shrunk the kids bee. my brother and i were picked to ride the bee, my all time fave disney moment. i also miss the dick tracy show and then the kids version that took place in that lil kid store at mgm. instead of tess truheart i think i was bess? my poor family had to put up with me ALWAYS wanting to be picked and our vacation revolved around how many times can we get wendy on stage, but that was part of the magic back then. i'm now 23 and my goal this year is to get picked for the indy show! i really hope MGM brings back more of that particpation magic.
