Have been trying to figure this out after a friend asked me?

Can anyone provide the answer or a link to where I can find it myself?

I would imagaine it would be near/ or same date as when they started using once in park all rides included tickets. Back in the early days they had books of A-E tickets for the corresponding rides.

The information I was able to find, seems to show 1984 as the first year an Annual Pass was offered at Disneyland. However, someone in the comments on this link, claims they have an Annual Pass dated June of 1983. I am sure someone else may chime in as well.

Everything that I have found indicates 1984; however, the year before they started Annual Passes, they offered a summer only pass.
