I was curious what others do as far as park passes. I know some trips are different, but what do you generally buy for park passes?

I like the PHP - we always over buy but then when we're thinking about sponteneous trips in the middle of the winter - they seem a little more possible because we already have the tickets! (We've only really done it once but I love dreaming!) :wave2:

I buy the Florida Resident Seasonal Pass. It has some blackout dates, but I can live with them. None of my friends or family like going in the summer anyway. Strangely enough, I still get bummed out when I know I can't use my pass. Just knowing that I can go at anytime is a nice feeling.

We buy the park hoppers without plusses. Our kids are 6, 3 and 8 months so we really don't need to visit the water parks. The hotel pool is enough for them!:p

We buy the fun in the Sun passes... The price per adult is $310.00 and children ages 3 - 9 is $250.00. They are a 30 day pass with complimentary (sp?) character dining vouchers...THEY ARE A BARGAIN!!!

Well, we are just starting to buy the Annual Pass, because we are going to go to Disney for a long time this year. Annual passes are great. IF you are going to want to do Disney Quest in DTD, or a water park, or the wide world of sports complex, use the park hopper plus. If you just want to enjoy the parks, use the park hopper. Have a great time when you go!::MickeyMo

If you are going more than one week, the annual pass is the way to go. Is the Sun pass just for Florida residents?

Florida Resident Seasonal Pass :sunny:

Is the Sun pass just for Florida residents?

Don't think so, I have heared people from Europe refer to them before. For the price I would buy AP.

Depends on how many days we're planning to be at the parks...

If I'm going to be there for at least 7 days, I go for the AP. We don't get the PAPs, but just pay for the extra admissions as we go.

We alternate every year between Florida Resident Seasonal passes (WDW) and Universal passes. Right now we are doing USF and will go back to WDW in 12/04.

We've done both the AP and park hoppers...right now we are using 7 day hoppers with 4 day plus features. They were the best value, and we can probably make them stretch for about 2 1/2 trips (we also squeeze in some time at Universal about every other trip). When we get an AP, only one of us gets one, for the discounts, so we've never really had the luxury of being able to go to the parks at a whim, even just for 10 minutes as if we had an AP or tickets that come with the hotel package. Maybe one day....

For now we just get the Park Hoppers without the pluses. The 4 parks and our resort pool are more than enough for us with young kids. :)

We get the length of stay passes with the room so we can get to a park when we arrive and before we leave. Also we like the water parks and DisnetQuest

I always get park hopper without plusses. We never go to any of the water parks or anything, so the "plus" part would be wasted. :p

I usually only need regular park hoppers. But since the discount ticket brokers usually have deals on the 3 or 4 days with plusses, we ended up getting those.

But for our 10 night honeymoon, we went with the annual passes.

Woo hoo! :)

Last time I went I got Park Hopper Pluses and we never used the pluses, so for our next trip in Jan. I just got park hoppers. We have leftover pluses if we decide to use them, but I doubt we will. :earsgirl:

We never have time to do anything else but the parks. I've never been to any of the water parks, maybe one year. But we enjoy the main parks and try to squeeze in walking through Downtown Disney. :D

We used these on our last trip. They were so much better than the PHP. No need to worry about "wasting" a day on the pass by only spending a few hours in a park. We were able to go to Disney Quest several times during our stay. We were free to come and go as we pleased. ::yes::

For our family, UPH passes were the best deal. We're staying 9 days and since our boys are older, we'll be able to enjoy the water parks, DQ and park hop. If we fall in love with WDW (first trip for us), we may end up going back so will consider APs in the future, however, with the small AP discounts this summer, I'm not too sure about that. We definitely came out ahead with the package this time around as we won't be returning within one year.
