I am so torn on this one! On the day of Magic Kingdom, I cannot figure out what table service my fiance and I should do. Originally we were thinking Liberty Tree, but being some Mass. we get turkey dinner at a lot of places around here! Then we thought of Whispering Canyon, but I not sure about the loud atmosphere of the place. What do you normally do on MK day? This can be either from the DDP or not. We will be paying for one meal out of pocket anyways! Let me also say my fiance is a SUPER PICKY eater. Ohana and Kona are both out of the picture. I had to look over all the menus to make sure he has a selection. He just likes things plain and simple. Meat and potato kind of guy. Thanks :)

If its for dinner, I vote for Ohanna. It's the only meal we do every trip. Quick monorail ride to the Polly. We have done LTT and it is good and we have also done WCC. The guys like it but I am not a huge fan. Really over the top crazy and loud in my opinion! Food however is pretty good.

Yeah I have heard that.I guess I should of specified more. My fiance is super picky at what he eats, and Ohana doesn;t really have anything on the menu he is going to like. I need something with simple options. Our other ADR's include ESPN club, Via Napoli, and Sci Fi Diner.

I always LOVED going to Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater or 50's Prime Time Cafe. I hope that helps.

I automatically thought of Crystal Palace but that's a character meal. My kids loved it - we went for breakfast before the park opened & it was so cool having the park to "ourselves" to see Main Street and all that.

That said, I think WCC is probably going to be a good bet for your DH given his pickiness. My mom is a very picky eater and she liked WCC. Also we all liked Kona Cafe (at Polynesian) on our trip in 2009.

You can deconstruct most menu items and make them plain, ie. no sauce. That said, we like Kona, The Wave, Artist Point and the signatures at GF and CR.

Thanks everyone!! Is it easy enough to just want something plain? Or does it get frustrating for servers at restaurants? This is the one thing I cannot decide on. Have all my other days planned out, except what to do on MK day.

What about the Plaza? It's a cute place with awesome ice cream. When I went I got the reuban which was awesome but they have burgers and chicken sandwiches too. And it should be pretty cheap if you're paying OOP :goodvibes

Yes, I have looked at that! I actually made my fiance look over the menu for Kona, and he might be interested!! I am kind of excited. How easy is it to get to Kona from MK? Plus, their drinks look yummy too :thumbsup2

Getting to Kona is really easy. Hop the resort monorail and get off at the Poly. Kona is on the second floor there so you walk off the monorail and go to the left.

Kona is our favorite restaurant on property and the wait staff is really great about being accommodating. The drinks are to die for! Have a great trip!

I like Kona too. We stayed at Poly and had lots of Kona last time. I was struggling for our MK day too. I decided on The Wave for convenience and quality. Easy to walk to and from MK or monorail. We will probably monorail there and walk back, if we want to go back to MK. I think it will be the least disruptive to our day and give us more flexibility. My second choice was Grand Floridian Cafe. I have read good things about it. You might want to check out the menu. I think it has plain things your DH will like. Of course, I always love Sonny Eclipse but it is QS.

We like Liberty Tree Tavern and Crystal Palace (which is a character meal--maybe not the atmosphere you're going for!). That being said, we usually just do CS during our MK days, or split up the day, so we have dinner in Epcot (we really prefer the Epcot restaurants to anywhere else in WDW).

We like LTT but we go for lunch not dinner. DH loves the potroast.

crystal palace was a yummy breakfast...we are going for dinner this year...so we will see how that is :)

I would never do tony's again...it was dull

i think we are ending up at Kona for dinner. I had my fiance look over the menu, and he thinks a couple things might look good!! I am making him try new things ;)

If you don't mind a Quick Service location I would recommend taking the Resort Monorail to the Contemporary and trying the Contempo Cafe, which in my opinion is one of the best places to eat at in Walt Disney World.

However if you don't feel like leaving the Magic Kingdom then I would recommend Liberty Tree Tavern.
