What Trips the New Scanners to Force a Bag Search?

It was our fourth and final park day before we mastered holding our umbrellas out in front of our body, arms completely stretched out. We were complimented on doing that, and it was the only day where one of us wasn't flagged for a bag check.

Just taking the umbrella out of the backpack and holding it, wasn't enough.

I swear my portable phone charger tripped the scanner at Disney Springs but never the parks. No clue why, and not sure what else it could have been
