I know it's early (it's never to early to plan for Disney) but for the first time I am going to Disney the first week of December.

Can anyone tell me what type of clothes you usually pack. With 5 kids and a husband I need to know. Do I pack tanks and shorts or longsleeves, pants, or capris.

Also what type of jackets do I take. I have heard that it can get cold but cold enough for a winter coat and gloves or a light jacket and sweatshirt?

Thanks,

We have gone the week before Christmas for two years in a row and it has been very cold. Next year, we plan on packing for cold weather, with a few warmer weather clothes. (Not that it is a problem having to buy Mickey sweatshirts when we don't pack right!!!) Of course, that could change if they have a heat wave/:sunny:

Unfortunatley for Dec...you sort of have to have everything...we were there first week for 2002 and it was cool and rainy....we were there for 2 weeks from Dec 20th to jan 4 and it ranged from 78 in the day to 40 on some nights....So, we needed everything...Hopefully you can do laundry and pack light.....

We had friends that were down the week before us and said how cold it was. I didn't pack enough short sleeve t-shirts. We had to take a ride to the outlets for cheap shirts. The day we left the temp. started to drop. Everynight I need a sweatshirt but DH didn't. He is never cold. Gina

You're from NY so I will assume that you are used to some cold. I was there from 11/28 - 12/5 this year and I wore shorts and t-shirts during the day and carried a medium weight sweatshirt for rides/shows that were cold. Once the sun went down, I would wear jeans and a sweatshirt. Only 1 day was cold enough to wear jeans all day long but those and a sweatshirt and I was comfortable. The cheap stretchy gloves were great to be thrown in a backpack and kept hands warm later at night. I would say plan on some shorts, t-shirts for every day, at least one pair of pants and a sweatshirt or jacket. You can leave the tanks at home for this trip.
