What to Wear?

We are just a few days away from our trip (YAY!) and I am stressing over a lot of things, one of them is what clothes to bring. We have 2 Signature Reservations, at Yachtsman and Le Cellier. I know we should dress nicer for those. DH will be wearing slacks/nice shirt, should I wear a dress or just nice pants/blouse? The rest of our dinner ADR's are at Kona, Ohana, Boatwrights and Whispering Canyon - for those, is it okay to wear the shorts/t-shirts we wore all day to the park, or should we go back to the resort and change into something nicer? Thanks in advance!:confused3

You can wear whatever you want, as long as it is not swimwear, torn clothing, cutoff shorts, a tee shirt with an "offensive" slogan or graphic, or (if you are a man) hats or tank tops. These are the only things Disney asks guests to refrain from wearing to signature restaurants.

If you wish to take into account the preferences of other guests over and above Disney's "dress code" listing, then you will probably get some opinions from other posters about dressing for signature restaurants. But if it's not on Disney's list they won't send you away for wearing it.

The signature restaurants inside parks (Brown Derby, Le Cellier and CRT) don't adhere at all to Disney's signature dress code, such as it is.

Thanks for the response. I have read the dress code, but was just wondering what the majority of other diners would be wearing. Just don't want to stick out and show that this is our first trip to WDW! :)

My main concern is that I planned most of our dinner ADR's around the park we will be in that day or what our evening plans are... so my plan was to go straight from a day at the parks into dining, but now the closer I get, I am just not so sure if the t-shirts and shorts will be acceptable at those restaurants.

We will definitely change clothes before dinner at Yachtsman & Le Cellier, now i just have to decide whether to wear a dress or just nice slacks.

Most people will be dressed very casually. We go to many signatures and always make sure we are dressed neatly, that's it. I usually wear nice shorts or light summer pants and a polo shirt. My wife usually wears capris or a skirt with a nice but casual top. Think business casual.

You can totally wear a t-shirt though. Just make sure it is "nice" and not something with a giant graphic on it or anything.

I like this thread as we have several signature meals as well!

Like you have already mentioned, you will want to dress nicer for your signature meals and have time to freshen up before dining there, but for your other reservations you should be fine in your t-shirt and shorts from the park. I will say that you might be sweaty, etc. from being the park all day .. so keep that in mind. You can always bring a change of clothes (or just a different shirt) and change in the hotel's lobby or do a quick freshening up in the lobby's bathroom before going into the restaurant.
