What to wear on the summer nights?

A sweatshirt? In FL? In summer? :scared1:

A hoodie w/no pants. Do only your and your DD's top halves get chilly in restaurants? :lmao:

If your no pants is a reference to Another Alice's packing list, then no hoodies are allowed either. Only a swimsuit, sunglasses, sunscreen and comfy shoes.:rotfl:

I live in Tampa, Florida and yes... I keep a hoodie for me and my daughter handy year around. When my daughter and I go to the movies we wear jeans and a t-shirt with a hoodie for inside. Tonight I went out to dinner with 3 other girlfriends... here in the Tampa heat and we wore jeans and t-shirts, all with hoodies in hand.

Now at the fort we didn't eat out anyways so the hoodies did not get used. I did wear my tank tops all weekend but I had a short sleeve button up shirt handy for when we went inside resorts like the contemporary.

So, maybe it sounds wierd to you, but to me and all my other female friends, we like to have our hoodies available at a moments notice. My daughter keeps a thin sweater (who is 7) or hoodie on her school chair in her classroom and in her cubby year around to wear in the A/C, because yes, we do not like the A/C blowing on us... even in the summer!

I also keep a throw blanket on almost every couch in my house. I have 3 son's who like to keep the A/C turned up. I don't like the A/C blowing on me so I usually have a throw blanket on me. I even have a hoodie on the back of my computer chair I am sitting at now.

This reply might be a little late in the making, but, it rarely drops below 76 at night this time of year in Florida. A long sleeved, cotton shirt to drape over your shoulders in a restaurant will be all you might need.

Florida summer ain't nuttin' like northern summer. We don't shiver in the cool night air, cause there ain't any. If there were, we'd bask in it!!

I hope you realize I was only joking about the hoodies...actually the joke was about the "no pants" w/the hoodies and whether or not your LEGS would get chilly with no pants. I would never purposely insult the beauty of a hoodie. (I have a couple myself.) In fact DH left the AC turned down a little low last night and I could use one right now, but WITH pants so my legs aren't chilly.

I had to set you up on that....I knew you were lurking.....;)

Me no lurk! I'd already posted on this thread. Starting to think it might turn into the hoodie version of the clothesline or master repair thread though. :scared1: I must admit you did leave it wide open for me and my smarty pants or smarty "no pants"-self ! :lmao: I don't believe in letting a wisecrack go unspoken! ;)
