What to wear in May?

I'm from Dallas TX, moved here from Illinois 8 years ago. I wear shorts all year round..... I think I wore pants maybe a handful of times this winter. My torso is what usually gets cold. So I'll be taking a light jacket....if the forecast seems cool weather will arrive.

I'm from Seattle, orignal poster is from BC- our idea of rain and southern CA idea of rain and what requires rain gear are probably really different!

Oh so true. I'm in Oregon, it rains 9 months out of the year. Most of us dont even own umbrella's. Last time I went to DL, it started to sprinkle. Everyone ran for cover and looked at DH and I like we grew a second head because we were in t-shirts. Lol. For most oregonians, shorts weather starts in the 60's

We will be going in a couple weeks. I'm not a shorts type person, so I'll mostly be wearing capri's. Bring some tank tops, a pair or 2 of jeans and a sweatshirt.

I've been having the same problem with trying to figure out to pack. As a Florida girl, this California weather is very confusing to me as people keep telling me that 85 degrees there does not feel like 85 degrees here since the humidity isn't an issue. I've decided on sundresses, jeans and t shirts, and lightweight cardigans. I'll probably change my mind a million times...

We are from the midwest. 2 weeks ago we (adults) wore shorts with short sleeve shirts every day. The girls wore short, lightweight princess dresses I made for them. One girl usually wore a lightweight long sleeve shirt under hers for the morning and they both wore tights in the morning. We took rain coats to use as lightweight jackets and protection from rain, if needed - though we didn't need them for that. We did wear them in the evenings. That week lows were in the upper 40's or lower 50's and highs were spread out in the 70's.

We packed way too many clothes as most were not worn. You can always plan on shorts and short-sleeve shirts and take 1-2 pair of sweatpants and a sweatshirt/light jacket for the occasional times you might need them and re-wear those throughout your visit.
