I am very excited for MVMCP, but how do people dress for the event? Does everyone wear red and green? Are people dressed like any other park day? Thanks!

People wear all sorts of clothes for MVMCP. You will see prople dressed in hoilday colors and styles and other people wearing every day type clothes.
The onlt advice I have for you is to listen very carefully to the weather report for the night you are going and dress accordingly. When we went last year I listeneed to the forcast as far as the temperature was concerned but did not pick up on the wind chill so, while we dressed a little heavier then usual for Florida, we did not dress heavy enough to not feel very cold and had to leave early.

Depends on weather. I wear shorts or jeans, wear a Christmas t-shirt or sweatshirt and MM santa hat. We all wear Disney Christmas hat for our family photo. Makes it fun. It's normally to warm to wear scarves (CM"S do) but just be comfy you will ride rides.
I can't wait, we go to MVCP on 12/8 and taking two nieces 7 & 9 that have never been to WDW and a 13 yr niece who goes with us everywhere. Having dinner (4:40) in Castle before party. We are so excited for the younger ones. It's costing us a small fortune, but worth it for them.

We are going Dec 11 and eating at the castle before as well. I am so excited!

We're also going on Dec. 8th and I'm trying to figure out what to wear!! It's easier when we usually go in the summer when I know it will be hot and I'll be wearing shorts and t-shirts the whole time!!

The last 2 times we have been we have seen more regular clothes then Xmas type clothes.

Really weather plays a big factor too. I have seen more people dressed up at MNSSHP then MVMCP

We bought nice holiday dresses for our two daughters. My wife and I plan on dressing "business casual" that night.
We want to take a nice family picture.

Last we all wore red and green and blinking Santa hats.
It was funny because we saw very few people doing the same. I thought my inlaws were going to kill me. :earboy2:
We went on the 7th and it was HOT. I think the low that night was 75.

To wear our Mickey Ears Santa Hat,DW wears her Pooh ears Santa hat.We both wear a holiday T or sweat shirt depending on weather.going to MVMCP on Dec 6th and 8th this year.Have a great time at the MVMCP and WDW. :goodvibes :wizard: :wave2:

I wanted my Dh and I to wear a holiday shirt, but I don't want him to feel stupid if know one is really doing that. I think I will just plan on it, and we will enjoy ourselves regardless if people are "dressed" for the holidays.

The first night that we did this in 2003, We both wore shorts. I was fine, but my honey was quite chilly by the end of the night and purchased some sweats to put on to keep warm. The second night we did this in 2003, it was freakin' cold. :cold: Both of us were in jeans, long sleeve shirts, and jackets.

For both events, we wore the same festive hats that we plan to wear again this year. We have red ball caps with moose antlers. The hats say Merry Chris-Moose on the front and we had Rutt embroidered on one and Tuke on the other. Kenai and Koda thought that it was cool to be visited by their buddies. lol Maggie

We are going on the 8th also

I was thinking about getting matching sweaters or something for us but I was worried about being too warm. I guess there is no way to know ahead of time. I might wait until I get to WDW though and buy holiday themed clothes there.

You'll see alot of both at MVMCP....we saw alot just dressed "regular" and we saw alot of people in red and green and in Santa hats. We saw alot of little ones in Christmas dresses or outfits. My sister got the cutest Minnie ears headband with a sparkly Mrs Claus hat on it to wear and I tied sparkly red and green ribbons in my ponytail.

You never know about the weather though. We all brought matching Christmas sweatshirts to wear last year, but it was so HOT we didn't end up wearing them! We went Dec 9th 2004 and it still 80 degrees that night! Believe me, no one got chilly! :rotfl: -- You might end up needing mittens though, you never know in December in Florida!

Last year, in early Dec., most folks wore standard park type clothes. We saw a fair number of Santa/Pooh/reindeer type hats and headgear, some Christmas sweatshirts or sweaters. It was a fairly cool night for early Dec in Florida, so most folks had on sweatshirts, heavy sweaters and/or coats. Most people appeared to dress first for the weather and secondly for the holiday.

You really need to plan for anything this time of year...this week it is in the 60s during the day when the norm is 80ish.

I was at the party the same Thurs of the month (the 1st) two years in a row, and one year I was very warm and the other there was a chill in the air!

Halloween night and the night of the MVMCP are the only two nights I want there to be a chill in the FL air - the other 363 nights I'll take 70!

Have fun!

Disney Christmas sweaters/sweatshirts, and Christmas hats. :)

Can't wait!!!! :dancer:

In '03, it was mid-Dec and they were having a real cold spell, so our Micky Santa hats were a welcome piece of apparal!!! I also have a long sleeve white tee-shirt type thing with a Santa Mickey on the front. So, it all depends on the weather. I have worn my Santa Mickey hat both times I have gone..mid-Dec and late Nov..and not been overly warm. A lot of people wear just the hats. Mine is going with me to the Dec 1 MVMCP!!!

We've always just worn regular Park Clothes appropriate for the weather. We'll probably just do the same this year.

I usually wear regular park type clothes for MVMCP. One year I wore a long sleeve black polyester shirt. I was so warm I could bearly stand it !
Another year I had to wear my heavy hooded zip up sweatshirt. It was so cold that I had to even keep the hood tied !
Whatever the weather - it's always a great evening !

WE were there last year mid december, and we froze, We had long sleeve t shirts, and sweatshirts and gloves, and hats on. So make sure you bring warm clothes, just in case. :cold:
