Have never been to Disney before. Can you let me know what the weather is like in May and also how busy the parks get.

thanks

Weather gets warmer and humidity higher as the month goes by. Highs are usually in the 80s and lows in the 60s. It is rather nice. You are not broiling hot like in July but you are not freezing, either.

The crowds gradually build as the month progresses as well. It cumulates with Memorial Day, being extremely busy. They also get busier with locals on the weekends but are still managable.

May is my favorite time to go! Lucky you to go then for your first visit.

It is hot by the beginning of May. Really hot in the middle of the day. The parks are busy but not uncomfortably so. The mornings, however, are pretty empty. We can pretty much walk on all but the most popular attractions. We get fast passes for those while we walk on the other attractions. The only draw back is shorter park hours, but with smaller crowds you can see everything and get back for a relaxing evening to your hotel/house.

Ususally they only have the Spectro Magic parade(our favorite) once a week. Because of this it will be VERY crowded. If they have 2 see the later. We watch in Frontier Land where the crowds are smaller. We pick up dinner and settle in for the wait. Lots of people have tips for this parade.

Have Fun!!!! Lisa

Last year we went the end of April beginning of May. It was quite warm but not really uncomfortable. It didn't seem to be very crowed except MK but I think MK is always busier than the other parks. We have always gone in October and March before but now I think I prefer early May. In fact it is looking like we might go in May again this year.

mrsflip -
If you are fair skinned, take sunblock. My kids always tend to get sunburned in FL in May. Even if it's just their faces. And be prepared for rain. Not a flood mind you - but everytime we've gone in May it rains. You can buy ponchos there or take the ones you foldngo with.

Hope this helps - Be there in May with You!!:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

May is my favorite time to go. I usually need a break about then, the weather is great, and the crowds are low.

I would bring a light jacket or sweatshirt. I have been there in May when the evenings turn cooler, and you might need it. Also a pair of pants or capri's. Or, don't bring a sweatshirt and plan to buy one IF the weather turns cooler in the evenings.

Have a great time.
