What are some rides that we should try to do at night? Anything spacific that is just better or really cool at night vs during the day?

We love the Jungle Cruise after dark, so much better than daytime to us. Also, BTMRR is great at night.

At DCA we think nighttime adds something to RSR, TOT, Screamin', and believe it or not, GRR. :)

We like BTMR, Matterhorn, RSR, Splash and TOT at night. Mickey's fun wheel is neat at night too!

We usually go through Fantasyland at RD, so we've always done Storybook Land Canal Boats in the morning. Last year, we ended up doing a second ride at night, and it was awesome! Lighted arches ways, twinkling lights and all the scenes lit up. My kids loved it, seriously the most magical part of our trip, I felt like a little kid again. :cloud9:

It'll be night rides for us from here on out!

I saw a post the other day from a guest who said the same thing. It's now on my list for our April trip.

We have enjoyed Jungle Cruise, Splash Mountain, Matterhorn and yes, even the train after dark and enjoyed them all. It is really a different experience than in the day time, especially on the JC- just changes it up to almost be like a new ride.

At CA we have done Grizzly which is really neat at night as well. We tried to do California Screamin’ before WOC started but got there too late, I hope we get to next time. We also want to try and do RSR at night once.

From a non-ride view, we love sitting outside at night at the tables right on main-street. It is so pretty to just sit there at watch the lights and the people go by while enjoying some ice cream. We also really enjoy Carsland at night.

Well, not so much one that you need to ride at night, but need to see at night: the exterior of it's a small world. On that same note, Carsland is fun to see after dark.

This!

Even though I hate heights and ferris wheels in general, I want to ride Mickey's Wheel of Death...ahem..I mean Mickey's Fun Wheel at night!

:lmao: I am the same way. I hate heights. Farris wheels are boring to me, but I think going on it at night and seeing all the lights would be neat.

I'm hoping by it being dark, it may not seem that high up ;) Who am I kidding.

In addition to Storybook Land Canal Boats, Casey, Jr. is fun because if takes you by the Storybook houses, and you can see the houses twinkling from a higher viewpoint. Make sure you do both rides at night!

I like riding the Mark Twain after dark. The narration stays the same, but they light up the animals using a spot light from the boat. (It's also fun to see the ducks roosting on the animals...never knew that moose made good sleeping spots for ducks!).

I also vote for the Jungle Cruise (unless you have small kids that are afraid of the dark).

The Matterhorn is the one thing that seems like a completely different ride at night. Most other outdoor rides are a different experience as well, but that to me is night and day (bad pun intended)

MY HUSBAND AND I REALLY LIKE TO RIDE THE JUNGLE CRUISE AT NIGHT, WE WENT ON THE RIDE LAST YEAR WITH OUR TWO CHILDREN AND THEY LIKED IT TOO!!!!!!

We like doing RSR and Screamin at night - I also like even doing SSS at night as the lights around the pier are so cool. I think almost any ride that is outside is different at night than during the day in some way.

California Scream'in n Jungle Cruise are our favorites afterdarkpixiedust:. But, any or all the outdoor rides are different after sundown. The entire DLR takes on a different look and feel after dark.:wizard:

I absolutely love BTMRR at night.
and Splash is fun and seems different at night too.

Will second what many have said about Jungle Cruise and just being in Carsland in general (haven't been lucky enough to do RSR at night ... goal for the next trip :thumbsup2 )

I also think there is something special about the Tea Cups at night.

And while I can't explain it at all, even though Pirates is indoors, it FEELS different to me at night.

oh, there is just something so magical about DLR at night! Thanks for this thread, really has me thinking about these little special details that just make me love DLR so much!!

Matterhorn at night is awesome. It's worth the back injury. :D I also love Autopia at night. One time I was on it during the fireworks and it was totally magical.

Edited to add: how do you ride Screamin at night? Does it ever reopen after WOC or is there enough time between it getting dark and the ride closing down?
