I just made two pumpkin cheesecakes and have no idea what topping to put on them. They just look so naked plain. I've never made ANYTHING with pumpkin, nor have I ever eaten pumpkin, so I'm lost

I would go for whipped cream.....love some pumpkin cheesecake...yum!!

I am "known" for my white chocolate pumpkin cheesecake with gingersnap crust. ;) I top mine with some sugared hazelnuts. I melt a couple tablespoons of butter in a pan, add a couple tablespoons of sugar and then the nuts. I continuously stir until the sugar is melted. I pour all of that over the top of the cheesecake. I then drizzle white chocolate over the top and add Vanilla Cool Whip to those who want it.

Enjoy your cheesecake!

I vote for a nice ribbon of canned whipped cream. Sounds delicious.:)

If I could eat it (and I can't, as I'm horribly allergic to pumpkin.. :() I would make a lovely cinnamon-infused whipped cream to put on top.

I make a pumpkin cheesecake...it has a sour cream/maple syrup topping...1 1/2 cups sour cream 1/3 cup maple syrup...whisk, spread, and bake at 325 for 15 minutes after cheesecake is almost set....then turn off oven and let sit in oven for 20 minutes. Take out, let cool to room temp, then wrap loosely in plastic wrap and let sit overnight. It is soooo good !!!

At Olive Garden they top it with whip cream and drizzle caramel sauce over it.
It's to die for!!!!!!!!
