what to pack for August

I'm pretty certain this is a silly question but we have only been to wdw in the cooler months when you never know what weather you are going to get so that means double packing...short sleeves and long sleeves. In August this is not necessary I assume...am I correct?

That's for sure! I've seen many people sugeest you bring a light sweater for the restaurants but you definitely won't need it outside!

A rain poncho.... it generally rains there in the late afternoon for a brief time.

My advice is to double the amount of clothes, including underwear, that you pack. When we go in August, it's two showers a day and two complete outfits, but the thinnest and lightest clothes we own. Therefore, it doesn't take up too much room in the luggage.

Definitely enjoy the late hours of the park too!

Nothing long required. I would bring two pairs of shoes and change them out mid-day. Minimize your layers, like wearing those tankstops with the built in bras and one piece outfits for baby.

Three words:

Shorts! Shorts! Shorts!

I wore jeans one year and I passed out. I was walking from my room to the Food Court for breakfast. (We were at the Caribbean Beach, so it was quite a walk to the food court) I got extremely lightheaded while I was walking, had to sit down on a bench, and then proceeded to pass out. It was only 9 in the morning, but it was already THAT hot. A nice couple watched the whole thing unfold and called 911!!!! Luckily my husband came out to see what all the commotion was about and found me. Turns out, I had heat stroke. I blame the damn jeans all the time and NEVER bring them to Disney in the summer anymore!!!!!!!
